Rolando McClain Negotiations Not Good

Only reason he came back to the game was because he was broke. Now he wants to cash out and be worthless again? Nah I'll pass.

whats it like hanging out with him?

cause you sure seem to know a lot about him.

Sorry fellas for taking part of derailing the thread. As far as RO I wonder what has changed is mind?

It appears to me he's deleted the twitter account he had as a Cowboy. Strange. Oh well. I guess it's time for me to come to grips with it and move on.

Where there's smoke, there's fire. In this case there's weed smoke, house fire smoke. What more do you want?

He's an incredible player, physical presence, solid football IQ - but he's only between the white lines for 16-20 days a year. I'm worried about all the other 345 of them.

Anybody believe what Fish is saying here after the Hardy deal?

Dallas is doing exactly what they did with Hardy. Waiting it out. I have heard countless writers say they want him back it's just the money they are waiting to calm down on, or in Fishers words "3rd Tier".

I have stated countless times my thoughts on this player and if we lose him for chump change I will be pissed.

According to Mike Fisher McClain is wanting way to much money , and there may be a rift right now. Deal isn't close.

Sorry this guy is just too much of a headcase for me. I say don't re-sign him. I didn't like the way he ended the season at all and he seems soft . Wasn't giving 100%.

He will be flush with cash when his house insurance check come in.

Yeah, "worthless".
Some people just can't help themselves. Open mouth/keyboard ... bull swanky falls out.

Guess the Cowboys front office and the other 31 teams in the league agree with me. Ya'll can take your delusional fandom over to the Twilight Zone where headcase LBs get huge deals for one decent year of production.

I'm sure he's seeing Carter's contract with the Bucs and using that as a measuring stick. Carter $17M over 4 yrs with $4.25 guarantee and slated to make $4.25M in 2015. All things being equal, I think RoMac is twice the LB than Carter but unfortunately things aren't equal and is what's keeping him from getting what he thinks he deserves.
That's a mistake if that's what he's doing. If Jerry and Stephen is presenting him with an incentive laden contract, just like they did with Hardy, (i.e., if you play you get paid), then I'm with the Jones 100%. McClain merits a contract FULL of stipulations.

McClain's play was a pleasant surprise last year but it's obvious, given his myriad issues, that he is not a reliable long-term solution at the position.

I would also say the same thing about Sean Lee and his $50 million contract. ;)

You're right and that's why Lee's contract is full of stipulations. He likely won't see most of that money, and it's not counting much against the cap . The difference is one guys a great person and player but gets injured. The other is a great player , has legal issues ,a questionable work ethic, and also gets injured.

Big difference

Love how he was amazing in every respect last year up until now... Was a great move by the Cowboys...

Suddenly he has no heart and checks out of games...

I totally get it. My Wife is the be all, end all, worlds greatest you name it to the kids and I. Right up until she tells us we are fending for ourselves come dinner time. You should see the change!

LOL........

Dallas didn't do McLain a favor. They had a need which they filled and he did a more than adequate job and was probably one of the best players on defense.

you are already in the twilight zone

Mysterious house fires, concussions, mental issues, suspensions, substance abuse. Good luck getting a big deal anywhere with all that baggage.

The open market will humble you quickly.

I heard word on the street was he actually managed his money adequately and was busy fishing. The house that people say made him broke is the one he bought in Dallas to play in Dallas.

Wow. So from the year he was drafted till now, he has gone through 27M. Can't even fathom what players spend all that money on.

He may have lost a big chunk after his divorce settlement. He was also sued by another woman who is the mother of another child. He's probably paying a lot in child support as well.

When are we releasing Sean Lee whose taking up way more money and losing way more time?

Bruce Carter got money with Tampa and he was effectively benched for three or so games by the Cowboys.

You can hardly hold trying to play through concussions against a guy.
