$3M isn't peanuts. To me, it isn't. Granted he will lose $750K. So, he is playing 12 games for $2.25M. He just had his knee scoped and worked out at home in AL instead of with the trainers in Dallas. Will he even be able practice at all during camp? He doesn't like to practice from numerous reports. You can't rely on him at all. I can see him milking this knee thing all through camp. He has had numerous concussions last year along with some other injuries and wore down at the end. Does he even want to play the game anymore? I am still a little worried about his house burning down from arson. And top it all off with someone who can't say no to weed. He is staring at a 10 game suspension next failed test.

But it is peanuts when you compare it to similar performing players in the NFL. That last part is determinative. And for those advocating severing ties with Ro (that includes Babe), would the Jets cut Shelden Richardson or the Chargers Antonio Gates? Both guys were also given 4 game suspension for banned substances, same as Ro. I would ask Babe the same question, would he have been in favor of cutting Leon Lett? Mike Irvin?? There were a lot of guys on those 90's teams who enjoyed illegal drugs AND illicit activities. And they were caught on multiple occasions.

Lol let's feign outrage! Let's prove a point! Who cares if he might be our best lb when he comes back and is playing for like 2 million!

What's the message? That they will tolerate some drug use but not all drug use or crime by different levels of players.

It's best not to have a rigid policy with these things. It will only come back to bite you.

They handled McClain pretty well. They gave him playing time incentives and signed plenty of depth. If he plays and helps then he plays and helps. He did save our bacon last year.

That if your so screwed up that you will fail two drug tests in one offseason you dont have a place on this team

I don't blame McClain because, you know, he played for the Raiders and these things happen. Now, when he gets to the Cowboys, things will be better because he never had a chance to be successful in Oakland. Things will be different in Dallas.

Despite great talent, a player can only push his luck so far. This latest incident might very well be the cherry atop the cake for Rolando. If you can't be counted upon to play, there's really no point in retaining a guy. Don't be surprised if he gets cut in the days to come. We have the talent in place to replace him with more reliability.

the thing that pisses me off, he did this to the two most player-friendly owners in NFL history. al davis and jerry jones go to bat for their players like no one else and he took advantage of it both times.
