Roll the dice tomorrow and take Jack if available?

I take Jack in a trade down scenario. Need a back up plan if we're gonna take the risk.

Personally, if I were to take a chance it would be on Kevin Dodd or Reggie Ragland...
I'm betting Dodd is more than a one year wonder who benefited from Shaq Lawson...
Or... researching Ragland's heart issue.. enlarged aorta?.. not sure what affect that will have.

Jack should just smoke weed.. I heard it cures everything. Might fix his knee...

If we take Jack my TV is going through the window.

Jack's probably off the board if reports that he needs microfracture are true. Spencer had the same surgery and was out of the league a few years after. It's not a surgery football players typically return from with success.

Spencer had a decent year after coming back but he was old.

I would not take him with the second, but if we could possibly trade Leary and a 4th or something along those lines I might consider it.

I'll take Connor Cook or a DT. Dallas tried to trade up for Lynch last night so they are looking for a qb. Dallas may trade down some too to get him at a better pick.

Kid's a stud and he's hurting inside right now. He will make teams pay for passing him up.

If not Jack, grab Dodd or Spence!

as much as i hate it, pass.

we already have 1 LB who can't make it a full season in lee. while i do honestly feel it's best for the team if we look elsewhere, i'm a bit selfish also because i don't wanna hear the whiner parade when jack gets hurts and all the clever "glass" comparisons.

The second round is 100% their roll the dice round on first round talent with warts (Gregory/Lawrence issues, Lee/Carter with knee injury issues). If they don't take him they must think his knee is shot.

on the fence with Jack @ #34...but on board with Jaylon Smith with our 3rd rounder

For me I think we have rolled the dice on the DEF side enough time to take someone who is accountable..

Spencer had a decent year after coming back but he was old.

I don't know how you qualify "decent", but he had microfracture in the fall of 2013 and missed virtually that entire year. 2014 was the last year of football he played and he only had 12 tackles and half a sack that year. He hasn't played a snap since.

Age wasn't the main reason he went from 11 sacks in 2012 to .5 sacks in 2014.

Jerry said they still have a few players who they have 1st round grades on. If they stick to their board, I doubt it's Cook.

I'm guessing Ragland, Reed, Robinson, Dodd, Bell may have those grades.

Is there anything wrong with drafting someone without health issues? I'd like our 2nd rounder to actually make some plays on the field instead of headlines in the paper.

I'd roll the dice. Rather take a chance on a rare athlete who also high character than someone with substance abuse issues.

Myles Jack, Noah Spence, and Jaylon Smith are NOT in the mix at #34 from what I understand.

Jack and Spence are risky guys but can provide immediate impact that I'd love to take a chance on, but I can understand them not. Disappointing though.
