Roll the dice tomorrow and take Jack if available?

I don't understand this "might" need microfracture surgery.
Either you do or you don't. Why don't the medical people know the answer to this now?
Why all the guess work?

This seems like saying someone might or might not be 6 months pregnant

He said it himself. He needs it. This bone on bone talk will scare off all the teams.

I'm all in on Jack at 34....he might be the best player in the draft.....he is the exact type of LB we need in the new NFL......there is no "might" need microfracture like you said

And yet the best player in the entire draft slipped out of the first round. And don't say it's gamesmanship or teams playing games. All the teams have access to his medical records. He slipped past a lot of teams that could have used him for a reason.

Kid is a primo talent but that knee is a giant red flag.

Jack would be a great value at 34, but I keep hearing Jerry talking how important availability is. So, I don't think the Cowboys will draft him.

I'll take Connor Cook or a DT. Dallas tried to trade up for Lynch last night so they are looking for a qb. Dallas may trade down some too to get him at a better pick.

They take Cook at 34.................... burn down AT&T Stadium. What a horrendous pick that would be. That would be a total desperation move at QB.

Not one team taking a chance on Jack in the first round points to the concern with his injury. We need a dependable player with our second round pick. We took a chance with Lee a few years ago who had injury concerns and although he's been a very good player he's missed more games than he's played in. You'll have a tough time finding many teams that have drafted worse in the second round than the Cowboys the past decade or so. We've wasted picks on injured players and TEs. It's a must we come up with a solid, dependable player with this pick.

I don't see how they could take any QB in the 2nd round. If QB was a priority, they should have taken Lynch with the #4 pick. Some would argue that would have been too high but I would counter if he was good enough (his long-term value) to try and move back into the 1st round to get him, then they should have taken him when they had the opportunity.

QB, IMO, is out the window. Go for players who can contribute/start this fall.

If we can at least get 4 years out of high quality play out of him, then it'd be worth it to me.

Agreed, even though different positions I can see a shawne merriman type of scenerio playing out if medical reports are accurate. Dominate player to start his career then falls off. Biggest question would be what to do when his contract is up and is playing at a high level.

We really need to go defense with our next pick and take a pass rusher. We can take a shot on a QB in the 3rd round. There's always a chance we could trade back up into the second round and get a QB but we need to take one no later than the 3rd round or we'll likely end up with another Stephen McGee.
