I would like to see Romo play with the starting o-line and starting RB still in the game but i don't see it happening. Be smart Tony and throw it away when need be.

The conspiracy theory side of me thinks this is a ratings ploy by the NFL. Most games this weekend aren't worth watching. And why would it be put "out there" that Romo is going to play? Oh yeah, now people will tune in to watch him.

I know I will. Stupid NFL got me again!

In politics this is what is known as a "Trial Balloon". Leak to the press that a thing is going to happen well before that thing is scheduled to happen.

Judge the reaction.

If the reaction is positive, you can move forward depending on other factors.

If the reaction is negative or not what you expected, you cancel the plan.

And since the source of the leak is anonymous, you have plausible deniability that it never was credible information to begin with and can issue a statement at your convenience.

Or not.

So we'll see where this goes.

Don't mean to get all sentimental this early in the morning. But this is probably the last time we'll ever see Tony take a snap in a Cowboy uniform.

Time to dust off the 'ol navy blue #9 jersey one last time. As a tribute to Tony, I will do a spin move every time I make a trip to the fridge this Sunday.

Dak starts and probably plays the first half, unless the offence is playing out of its mind and jumps out to an 20 point lead, then I can see Romo coming in before halftime. The board is about to get real interesting.

I find it funny that the ESPN article 1) mentions Dak breaking a "record" for a stat that isn't real and 2) exposes how dumb the stat is anyway in the process.

"By handing off 3 times and giving way for Romo to enter, Dak Prescott's unbelievable game clinched his 14th QB WINZ to establish a new record."

They can if they want. Yes I know we have major injuries but I'm sure we still had a few players last week that got minimal snaps.

Not saying they would do this at all but they could make Zeke inactive and roll with McFadden/Dunbar. If something happens there, we can just throw a fullback back there.

Just thinking we will have enough bodies to open up a single spot if needed.
yea you're right. If Dak leaves he can't come back in but it's a meaningless game anyway. They can dress 3 QBs.

As long as he's playing with the starting OL
it would be a mistake to play Tyron and without him it is a mistake to play Romo

If it werent for that one play where Tyrons knee almost buckled Id say bring on Romo but now, not so much

Well its hard to be a Cowboy fan if you were never a Romo fan or hater at one time.

Either way, he's a polar character, if he's in for a long time, I hope he rips Philly a new one.

Do it for Irvin after they cheered this last game when injuried.

I hope Romo does play, I think he needs to get some live snaps heading into the playoffs. If called on I don't want his last real start to be that of Carolina. It has now been over a year since he saw any real action.

Not sure he's a polorizing character. He's done nothing to bring attention to this and even gave a speech. He hasn't even complained about it to the public.

It's the fans and the media.

Why is everyone worried about Romo getting hurt? What is the big deal anyway? If he does get hurt he will ride in to the sunset as broke back Cowboy and still have his 20m salary with him.
