Idk.. most NFL players respect the business side of the NFL. I don't think any of those players would intentionally injure Romo, they're not going to gently place him on the ground but I think they have enough respect for him that they'll play clean.
I think they'll play clean but I think they'll take their shots. I don't know how much of the OL will be in there when Tony plays but they need to keep the OL starters in the game. I know Smith probably isn't playing.

This will be interesting. Romo has a chance to prove he still has something left. Of course if he goes out and lays an egg whatever trade value he had will be diminished significantly. Should be fun to watch.

Hey I've been one of those that has been saying for months that I don't think there is much trade value there. There is a chance at there being interest, though. There is zero if he gets injured.

It doesnt matter if theres interest, it only matters if he wants to play there....he will likely be released.

I can just see that Philly Defense salivating that Romo is in. They would love to bust him up again and finally end his career. Tv ratings are going to go through the roof. Fox might want to make it a PPV Event.:lmao:
This....

It is definitely a ratings genius ploy.

Yes there will be interest once he is released. I think Romo will catch on with a team and I think Dallas will allow him to pursue a team he would like to play for. I don't see Denver handing over a top pick and picking up the contract. Denver may be interested in bringing in Romo once he is released and they can negotiate a deal to their liking. As for him playing as I said right now the only thing a team can go by his what he did last year and based on that his value is very small. They will not look at 2 years ago and make up their minds. Should he play in this game and show he still has a lot of game left in him there will be real interest in him.

this game might also tell romo himself if he can still play in the nfl and not worry about if he will get hurt if he takes a hard hit.

While I get it, I absolutely hate the hype and headlines surrounding our back up QB. No fault of Tony's.. but he's been in the headlines all year.

Interesting. So Dak probably wont dress. They need active bodies at other positions to get thru the game.
I just heard the report on SIRIUS and they reported that all three will play, for what that's worth. I think it signals that Dak will probably play the first quarter, Romo the second, and Sanchez will play the second half. Of course, I'm speculating here...

"You'll see on Sunday."

How hard is it to say that? What purpose is served with an ongoing, public discussion about who is and is not playing?

If it wasn't for Jerruh, that's the response JG would be giving (I believe). Even by osmosis., Jerruh is allowing these "insiders" to get this sort of info. Belichick would kill a dude if they released any info pregame.

As for the topic. Good. He's our backup, he needs reps. The only, only reason you don't play Romo this Sunday is if you are planning on trading him and are scared he may get injured. He needs live reps before the playoffs in the tragic event Dak goes down (knocking on wood -- I literally just did). Even if you are planning on trading him, if Dak goes down <throws salt over left shoulder>, it's still Romo. So it's a full circle now, Romo needs the reps.

It'll be fun, but it'll change nothing, regardless of his stats. Put him in. But zip it Jerruh. You're killing JG.

When romo was healthy the first two games, he looked fantastic. He also looked good playing hurt against Miami. Romo was not ever healthy after his initial injury last year. 2014 he had the highest QB rating in the league

Yes 2 years ago, since then he has dealt with 2 different injuries. Teams are going to want to see what you can do now not what you did 2 years ago. I love Romo and have always supported him and hope the best for him but I also am realistic about this. Those injuries matter, he is 36 coming off a series of back injuries. Broken collar bone really not a big issue in my eyes but those back injuries are. He can't put in a full week of practice that should tell you something about his condition. The guy is a warrior there is no question about it but when it comes to teams handing over picks, picking up his contract they will want more than what he did 2 years ago.

This just goes to show how little the national media knows about this team nowadays. Everyday that narrative changes.
You're right...just a day or two ago, "sources" were reporting that Romo wouln't play at all and that Sanchez would get all the plays after Dak was done. These "sources" are maddening. There ought to be a law that reporters can't use "according to sources" in their reporting. If you're going to put something out there, be willing to take the heat if you're wrong rather than relying on "sources" to take the heat for you. You are, after all, taking their info, if it really exists.

After he plays exactly like he did on Thanksgiving last year, people will realize why Jason Garret chose Dak as the starting QB.

I'm right there with you, man. I think that's what's what's likely, too.
