What if he goes 19 of 20 for 325 yards and 4 TDs no INTs? And all while being a decent human being?

Can't sit that back down.

They won't allow that. If (when) he rips off a streak of completed passes, they'll call timeout and bench his ***. There is no way in hell this team is going to allow Romo to show how good he is, he is a backup, damn it. LOL.

Did Jerry sober up this morning?

It wasn't Jerry sobering up; it was him shooting his mouth off without consulting Jason Garrett. Jason was probably going to do this all along, but you know how Jerry likes to talk.

Series or two. Well that sucks for some. loll

Still, PA, he needs some snaps before the games are do-or-die. I'm not a fan of this being released on a Friday. I know JG isn't either, going by his coy media sessions he always gives.

Jerruh needs to shut up and GM.

Didn't Jerry just say a few days ago it was too risky to play Romo against Philly due to the possibility of injury? Didn't he say on at least one occasion that Romo did not need to play in any games at all to be ready to take over for Dak in the playoffs?

What changed?

Tony probably told Jerry he needs some live game action.

The realization that any QB needs live reps before the games are one and done. Plus Jerry. Plus Johnny Walker.

I'm thinking this, too, PA. Tony probably went right up to Jerry's suite and told him he wants in.

Jerruh then went and told half the "insiders" so as to drum up his ratings for the final game, plus $$controversy. Cuz doggonit, controversy sells. (Controversy in the sense that Romo is playing, not in a shift in QB regime, to be clear.)

Let's see, a mini playoff game (intensity -wise) for Philly in Philly vs a hated rival, and a completely meaningless road game for Dallas.
Several of the oline (and skill) guys out or resting much of the game.
Potentially wet 35-40 degree weather....so conditions that Dallas will not play in the rest of the year....players or weather.
Can't say I see the big upside.
Would be nice to get some reps though.

Have at it. Adds a little spice to the game, I guess!
I think you might be giving philly a little too much credit. I wouldn't be surprised if half that team is already on mental vacation at this point. I also wouldn't be surprised if our guys come out ready to kick some ***.

It's going to be so strange to watch our franchise quarterback of the past decade playing in a game that's so meaningless to reserve our starter . For 10 years Romo sat out in these games. With that being said, Prescott earned the right. Crazy world, man!

This will be interesting. Romo has a chance to prove he still has something left. Of course if he goes out and lays an egg whatever trade value he had will be diminished significantly. Should be fun to watch.
I think people are really overstating the trade consequences of Romo coming in for a quarter, or whatever he ends up playing. If someone trades for him, they're going to be basing his value on his entire career and what they think he can do for them in the short-term future. No way they base his trade value off of 15 or so plays in a backup role of a meaningless game, whether he plays superbly or poorly, IMO.
