I'm sure none of them are professional athletes who are making over $100 million. There's a lot of scrutiny that comes with making a lot of money and being the starting QB of an NFL team.

Romo is scrutinized because he is Romo AND he is the QB of the Dallas Cowboys. Take your boy E-Lie for instance, he has never gotten anywhere near the scrutiny that Romo gets. As goofy as E-Lie is he should get some scrutiny as the starting QB if what you say is accurate. E-Lie doesnt get near the scrutiny he should get for his goofiness as compared to Romo's golf and weight scrutiny by comparison. Its not about being a starting QB, its all about being Romo and its the Cowboys.

He obviously has the ability to play through pain, but that doesn't change the fact that he can't take hits like a heavier QB can.

I've said this for a long time, he's tough in so far as he can play through pain, but he can't take many shots without breaking down from injuries..luckily he has great pocket presence

He can't take hit's like a heavier QB? Most here seem to think he's too heavy. :laugh2: You claim he's tough but used the word "soft" to describe him in your previous post. He's listed at 230 pounds how much heavier does he need to be? Roethlisberger has been injured a lot more than Romo and he's around 250 pounds. It's not like Big Ben is walking around with a set of guns and a six-pack. Broken bones can occur regardless of a QB's weight or how much muscle mass they have. Byron Leftwich is a big QB who suffered injuries all the time.

He was my biggest cheerleader until I hit home a few times. He reads more than he lets on. :laugh2:

Why do you think that he does not respond to either you or I? :laugh2:

I never put anyone on ignore...my skin is thicker than that! Hell, I had to put up with you for a long time until I decided that you do know what your are talking about, good or bad.

Anybody that thinks Romo will be better suited to take hits from NFL defenders as a result of packing on some Krispy Kreme pounds is delusional.

Eli won two SB's, so he is out of the conversation. Even though his defense actually won one of those SB's and a luck facemask grab by another player that won the other SB, Eli is beyond reproach.

Just an FYI.

I actually thought he looked a tad slimmer...
Agree. If anything he needs to put a little bulk on.

E-Lie might be above reproach by some of his lovers here on Zone, but not in my book. He's still goofy and you can still count on some bonehead plays.

I know your boy KJJ loves him tho.

KJJ is not my boy, boy!

Yeah, I know KJJ likes Eli, but that is his gig, not mine.

Got it, boy?

Romo didn't enter the league under scrutiny he was an undrafted free agent who was just trying to make the team. Eli was heavily scrutinized entering the league as the #1 overall pick. The scrutiny intensified when he refused to play for San Diego which forced the trade with NY. Being Peyton's brother put him under even more scrutiny plus playing in NY with their media circus added to the heat he was under.

Winning 2 SB's has taken some pressure off Eli while Romo's repeated elimination game meltdowns and $100 million contract has put him under even more scrutiny. When a QB who's only won one playoff game is breaking every franchise passing record of 2 Hall of Fame QB's that led the franchise to 5 SB wins it's going to put them under a lot of scrutiny. It's not going to let up until Romo wins a championship.

I'm no Eli fan I simply respect what he's accomplished and have given him credit. I also respect what Roethlisberger and Flacco have accomplished and have given them some credit. Dude, you're nothing but a bitter FAN who's so biased you tear apart every QB's game who have accomplished more than Romo. After what happened last season vs Wash twice I can only imagine the number you've done on RG3's game. :laugh2:

What difference does it make?

Between having surgery, being more involved in coaching meetings and film review, and having a baby at home..............the guy probably doesn't have time to get ripped in the weight room.
