Romo looking to become King of the Road

That's a very impressive road winning percentage. Very tough to win on the road and for him and his team to win like that on the road when he starts is pretty impressive.

Get some tenure Romo and then you can start comparing the two. Superbowl rings speak for Joe. Turnovers in big games speak for Tony.
I'm surprised it took you a whole hour.

Romo can't win the big one, choker, can't handle pressure, etc, etc.

I love your stats, Adam. They make the game much more interesting. Thanks for sharing.

Did not take long at all.

Montana averaged more turnovers per playoff game than Romo has.

Thank you. I wonder if any news outlet will pick up on this if we win?

I doubt it.

Well, I already saw, either on ESPN or NFLN, the stat that Romo and Brady are tied among active QBs at .750. So it has been noted already.

QB rating in playoffs between the two?????????????????? Let's not be selective.

Hey man, no one wants facts around here! Perception IS reality!!!

While I appreciate the stats, and it's encouraging, there's quite a disparagement between Montana's sample size and Romo's. Romo would have to keep up that pace for quite some time to legitimately knock Joe off the mountain. Not saying that he won't, but while Romo may surpass him in a 100 yard sprint, Montana has already completed the mile.

'Disparity' is an inequality between two things.

'Disparagement' is what some may accuse this post of being toward Romo. But your point is well taken.

This is a thread about Romo's road record. You're the one being selective.

I don't think I've seen it mentioned yet, but if we beat Denver this week, Tony Romo will move past Joe Montana for the best road winning percentage by any starting quarterback during the Super Bowl era (minimum of 15 starts).

Romo is 15-5 on the road, a winning percentage of .750. Montana was 61-20 (.753). A win in Denver would put Romo at .762.

The only other quarterback with a road winning percentage better than .667 during the Super Bowl era is Tom Brady, who is 42-14 and has a home game this week.

This MORON today at noon on BSPN radio I think ( the show is called the herd or something ) said that Romo should be ranked 14th in the NFL and one of the reasons was his road record was terrible.

Lord how I wish I was near a phone to rip him a new one.

I didn't bring Eli Manning into the thread. And now, Joe freaking Montana.

Just curious, Adam - where do you get the fumble numbers? I can't find them for Montana.

I heard that somewhere. Or read it. And damn, I didn't know that it was that good. That's pretty cool. I hope he can continue he and the team can continue that success on the road this Sunday.

I think they did not keep up with that stat till 1994.

But Adam could tell you for sure.
