He is overpaid, plain and simple.
Most QB's are. It comes with the position.

Great d? Did you watch any a&m games?
To the op you would have to go with romo. Dez is my favorite player on the team but no way you can choose dez over romo. Unless you want to go 4-12 or wrst and drafta young qb. Then I could see the reasoning. Otherwise you can take away about 4 wins if you go with dez over romo

Cool thread. You also realize that Seattle got big time contributions from Tony Mcdaniel, Chris Clemons, Michael Bennett, Cliff Avril (None of which we can sign because our mediocre QB is eating up cap space and their SB winning QB is on a rookie deal) and so on. They have no key D-Linemen that they have drafted since 2009 actually.

Cliff Avril CAP hit = $9,250,000 in 2014
Tony McDaniel CAP hit = $2,125,000 in 2014
Chris Clemons = no longer with the team
Michael Bennett = no longer with team
And FYI, Brandon Carr is eating up more CAP space this year than Tony Romo. I'm sure you wouldn't know that though.
Oh, and does the name Bruce Irvin ring a bell?
Anyway, the true test comes when Wilson's contract runs out. If they do not resign him, they truly know how football works.
Again, rarely does a person expose his own cluelessness in such a hilarious fashion.
Have you ever heard of two fairly non-descript, former NFL players named Marc Colombo and Ray Edwards?
Bruce Irvin rings a bell indeed. He plays Linebacker though. They hit on your biggest negative.. Drafting DB's. They used our strategy except they drafted good players. Sherman, Thomas, Chancellor and Browner.
But back to the point, yes if they give Wilson 100 million they will regret much like I regret the Romo deal. Neither of them are worth it. With a high paid QB they likely wouldnt have had all those d-linemen I mentioned. They will be left with the scrubs we run out there.
They drafted him as a DE to play DE, but they felt LB would suit him better in their system.
Agreed about Wilson.
Again name a $100 million QB who disappears because of someone like Ray Edwards. Just watch this play and remember GB entire O-Line was hurt against a ridiculously good D. Thats what QB's get paid for. Romo folds at the first sign of adversity.
You're a strange troll. Could you have posted a less relevant video? Wow, Rodgers made a nice play in a game he otherwise played lousy in and his team lost (at home no less). I think he had even less passing yards than Romo did. I suppose you will reply with a video of a bear juggling three beehives. Strange troll.
Of courseRomo. Gotta have a franchise QB.
Why do you think we would go 4-12? In 2010 our team went 1-6 with Romo before he got hurt. Then with Kitna we went 5-4. Our team is better than that team now and Orton and Weeden are both slightly better than the 38 year old Kitna. So why would our team be 4-12? Keep in mind we did not beat ANY team over .500 last year. That doesn't take a special QB to achieve.

Well that explains 8-8.
You have a strange way of avoiding the fact that Romo is close to worthless for our team.
You must be pretty darn rich, because last time I checked his "worth" to the team is 100 million .... Maybe that's chump change to you, but that's a lot of money.
On the Break, they had an interesting question. Would you rather have Romo or Dez this season, assuming Orton is back.
Orton
Dez
