Romo REALITY

When you use math like that it's easy to undestand the sentiment.

Like in '91... Aikman started the year and we went 6-5 with him. Beurlein came in and we went 6-1 including a playoff victory.

Shoulda stuck with Beurlein starting the '92 season doggone it!!!

yep, this is one of the few instances where I completely disregard the statistical analysis

Our record with Vanderjagt? 7-4.

With Marteen? 2-4

Talk amongst yourselves.

I wondered what happened to Dr. Evil...now I know, he is on a sports board.

Matt Baker #1 #1. UNC pwns Eastern Illinois.
Calvin Watkins posted later on the blog that he was joking. His cred as a beat writer is getting lower and lower.

But since both were undrafted, maybe Baker can come on the field after 3-4-5-maybe 8 years sitting and give us yet another QB of the future.

In games started and finished by Tony Romo this season, the Cowboys won 54% of their games.

In games started and finished by Drew Bledsoe this season, the Cowboys won 60% of their games.

So please stop with the Tony Romo saved the season BS.

If you can't see the upside of having Romo as our QB, -vs- the downside of having Bledsoe stuck in the pocket, then you will have a rough time.

Bledsoe was a great QB at one time, but not any more. His weaknesses became exposed.

Hard cheese. I'm hopping on that bandwagon NOW! I desperately need to have called something, and I need to do it quick.

Although, even if I do, there's no way I'll remember it. So whatever. Tony Dixon in 08. Book it.

Bledsoe > Romo....really that simple.

Who won in preseason?

Who kept their team in games despite the stats?

Which QB made the rest of the players around him better including the defenese?

What QB took a 6-10 that was going nowhere and turned them into a legit contender?

I think it was all used up on the Commanders .... :)

Reality

With Romo we made the playoffs

With Bledsoe we would have a top 10 pick

Bledsoe will be released at the beginning of March. Dallas won't pay him his roster bonus.

Give me a break Bledsoe beat Houston, Tenn and Washington.

And he really didn't look that sharp in any of those games. T.O. bailed Drew out on both his TD passes against Houston and Glenn made a great catch on a throw from Drew against Tennessee. In those three games, Drew had a QB rating of 96.3. Look at it in a vacuum you would say he played well. Watch the games and you will see that he was off target and out of sync in all three games. Plus those were his best games and he still only managed a 96.3 rating. Romo's rating for the entire season was 95.1. That means that when you even count Romo's bad games, he still has a rating nearly identical for Drew in just his good games. Drew's rating for the season was a pitiful 69.2. I am not throwing that stat out there to make my case because I don't believe that 69.2 tells the whole story. Drew was worse than that. He was horrible.

No, Bledsoe was never great. He was very good at one time, but that was long ago.
