News: Romo restructured according to the FAN

im listening to the fan now, fisher was just on talking about it. they saw it on twitter. fisher confirmed they are in fact restructuring as we speak and the exact number will come out shortly. i dont think the fan would joke about this. they are absolutely giddy that this means AP right now.

And Vikings are giddy the people in Dallas think that.

AP just isn't going to happen in Dallas. I could be wrong but I really, really don't think so.

Imagine an offseason where:

-Longterm Dez
-Find a way to rework Carr's deal via paycut
-Trade Mo and a 3rd for AP lol.

Yesss

I refuse to think this has anything to do with a running back who shall not be named in my post.

I think it's to clear room, because the Dez negotiations aren't moving, and they need the space for the rookie pool, and potentially adding more bodies.

welp if we do in fact restructure it looks like were at least going to make a try to do it. i get how the vikings wouldnt want us to get him especially after herschel.

I'm with you. I think this restructure is to free up money for mcclain and draft picks.

mcclain would only require 2 million of it and the draft picks would not require 11 million of freed up money.

So the Saints are in cap hell but they have not restructured Brees' contract ? That seems odd.

I honestly think they walk away from Brees after this season either via trade or an outright release.

If this team gets AP I don't care what most say but it's a forgone conclusion he gets 2000+ yards behind this line. A year off of full health and a chip on his shoulder is dangerous. I don't think people understand the legitimate fear NFL defenses would have for the offense. It's a nightmare scenario because this offense would be unstoppable.

also fisher said they could restructure chris jones in order to give rolando his money.

WOW!

Welcome to the team AP.

CHAMPIONSHIP!

More and more signs pointing towards a run at Peterson

They need cap space to sign RoMc. They were down under 2M of cap space and they are signed RoMc to a 3M contract.

When the restructure contracts, they generally always do a full restructure. Just because they freed up 13M does not indicate that they intend to use all of it.

If Dez does not sign a contract and they keep Carr at his current salary, then they will need up to another 8M for Hardy, about 2M to sign draft picks, another 1M when the cap counts all 53 instead of the off-season 51, another 1M or more for the practice squad and then any money for players on IR.

How far has Fish fallen, in my estimation? I don't even know who "Rand Getlin" is, but somehow I trust his tweets more than the reports from Fisher.

This Rand guy has been reporting stuff for awhile and he actually broke the news first about the Romo restructuring. That's why I'm posting his instead of Fish's "Breaking" tweet.

They need almost all of it for Hardy and McClain. Add a couple million for the draft and a cushion for the season and they would have to cut Carr to get the money for AD

Yes, I don't believe restructuring opens up much room for AP because of the money needed for Hardy's contract. If Dallas wants AP, some other work would need to be done.
