News: Romo restructured according to the FAN

We needed extra cap space just to sign McClain. We need cap space to cover Hardys contract. If this money was freed up for a big signing, we would still need to make room for those two things.

Guess I'll defer to you, but I dunno. Dude's been wrong way more often than right recently. His sources seem to be the chorus of voices in his head.

What bothers me most about Fisher is that he acts like he's super hooked up with sources for the Cowboys, and he isn't... and then he has the gall to act like it is really good inside info and charge people for it.

The guy has literally been wrong about nearly everything this season and when he does get it right it comes from someone else who really did break the news. I have seen zero evidence that he has a good source inside Valley Ranch.

Throw in that he constantly links tweets to "premium" articles in a thinly veiled attempt at getting money and I'm not too impressed with him at the moment.

The purpose was to fit in Rolando's contract. No move was necessary yet concerning Hardy, but McClain's cap number is higher than what we had available. Since we were eventually going to have to restructure Romo's contract for Hardy's incentives, we just restructured it now. Despite Fisher hinting at it being something other than AP, it's been pretty clear that Dallas was going to have to do it for something other than AP since it signed Hardy.

The player this is the best news for might be Brandon Carr, because neither a pay cut or his release is needed unless Dallas does choose to go after AP. (A long-term contract with Dez could also create room, though.)

Yep. I don't like that his tweet is basically a preview for what's on his paid site and not actual news.

To top it off he gets "snarky" (to use WG's language) when his "inside info" gets questioned. Can't remember a reporter doing so much damage to his rep in so little time. Going into this off-season I think most had at least a modicum of respect for his work.

So immediately most everyone thinks it is to bring in AP...so if this thread turns into an AP thread does it get moved....... since it is not real news....

Maybe it's to get a long term deal done for Dez, as well as cap room for the draft picks. since Carr won't take a pay cut, nor will he be a June 1st cut.

Yeah color me confused....I found two more legit articles about AP today and had no idea where to go with them....I put them in the News Zone....both provided more evidence that he will be a Cowboy.
