You really have no room to comment since you obviously didn't watch the game. If you did you'd have noticed that the wind was howling throwing both QB's passes off target. Pathetic.

Yeah, I guess troy wasn't watching either since he said Romo was off target despite the wind. But hey, what does he know? Carry on son, or daughter.

Romo was off target some, I like Troy but he was not the best poor weather QB and his accuracy would suffer. How much the wind played a part for Romo? I don't know I doubt Troy would know how much trouble it was for Romo. One thing for sure he handled it better than the great Eli did.

You know what? I am just going to say this, why the hell do Romo apologist insist on posting these threads about Romo after every victory? Why? Does it vindicate Romo some how? If we would have lost the game, there would have been a hundred Romo apologists that blamed every other player, not Romo. We win, it's all Romo and Romo to the rescue. Yes, Romo took the the team down the field and "helped" them win a game. Last I checked, Romo can't block, throw, and catch at the same time. Why do you feel like you have to qualify Romo's performance all the time. I don't get it?

I couldn't agree more.

He handled the windy condition better than MVP Eli. lol

Romo deserves the credit because he has earned it now even many in the media are starting to see it. Since 2011 no one has played better in the 4th according to their stats. He gets blamed even when it is not his fault. No doubt he has made mistakes but for any person hollering that Romo can't win or Romo is not a top QB frankly does not know ****. The man has never posted under a 90 QB ranking in a season no one else has done that. He has put us in position to win only to see missed FG or a defense allow the other team to drive it right back down to win it but he gets the blame. No doubt he has also made mistake that happens and it happens to all of them

I think romo is an average QB playing in a stats inflated era. 95 rating today is much different than a 95 rating 15 years ago. Offensives have evolved and the new rules favor them as well.

I don't have faith in Romo (age 33) to win a superbowl with the current team around him. It's not all his fault, this team is mediocre as hell. IMO he's just one of the many mediocre players on it.

If it is that damn easy then why are the other QB not doing it every year? I'm not comparing it to past I'm saying right now and every year he ranks towards the top. So if Romo are inflated then so are everyone else.

You know troy had trouble with a wet ball, not wind or cold.
Eli is not a QB I would want, I want the next Troy or Roger. For a while the argument was Tony was/was not good enough to get us to a Super Bowl, I don't think that's even a legitimate question any more. If you think this will get better next year at 34, well, I don't see it.

Troy had trouble in bad weather games. He also had the best RB in the NFL where we would slamm the ball down an entire drive as we did on a cold windy day in NY when Emmitt seperated his shoulder yet had 12 out of 13 possessions with the ball to get us in FG range. As for Romo he is one of the better QB in the league not an avg QB avg QB do not put up the numbers he does. Winning is a team deal not a Romo deal but fans can't seem to figure it out they still think this is tennis or golf where one and only one determins their own fate.

If Romo is mediocre we must have different definitions of that word.

You’re not kidding. Then again for some it is Madden out there and the game is controlled by one. They have no grasp of team sport and what must happen for a team to win. QB of course are important but they only play one side of the ball and what others around him do contribute to success or failure. If a QB throws it up for grabs and the WR makes a spectacular play well it was not because of the great pass it was because of the spectacular catch.

correct. I'm saying in general, a QB's stats are inflated in todays NFL.

I think Romo has the 5th highest qb rating of all time; 9 current QB's are ranked in the top 12 all time. Including the likes of Matt schaub and Phillip Rivers.

Stats are very misleading, especially in today's nfl. They don't translate to wins.

It shows up in other sports. Look at carmelo anthony. Great on stat sheet, but his teams never do anything.

And he plays a team sport. Stats show you how well an individual is playing. Calvin Johnson weather detriot wins the SB or not does not change the fact that his play is outstanding however he is a single player on a team who controls only so much. He has no control over defense or other area of the game he only control the position he plays. No doubt stats do not equal wins the overall play of the team does.

99.999999% of regular posters on here are not Romo haters. Sure he frustrates the bajeesus out of alot of us sometimes, but when it's all said and done, we're all more than glad to see him succeed. Don't mistake frustration for hate.

He's right, actually.

PS.. i think you messed up the title of this thread. It should say "Cowboys saved their season."

You know, because you're always reminding us how its a team game unless Tony plays very well?

An you're always reminding us how it isn't a team game and it's all Romo's fault when we lose.
