Romo Speaks

I don't guess it would be appropriate to call him Broke Back?

But all fun aside its always difficult watching a good player succumb to injuries late in their career.

We'll see how the season develops but at least we look like we might can win without Romo.

It will probably take a natural course but we no longer have to be afraid of the post Romo era as our future looks bright with Dak, Zeke and this young talented offense.

I actually thought it looked like a pretty bad hit. He didn't know the guy was there (because Free just let him run free) and he was starting his slide when the guy pounced on him. So he landed on his coccyx with a 275 lbs man on him when he didn't know it was coming. It folded him over and clearly stretched/strained his back muscles.

It was a bad hit, not in terms of impact, but it terms of the way it was a blindside hit exactly as he was about to slide.
This.
It was just really unusual and I think it would hurt almost anyone to get hit awkwardly like that.
He should have slid slightly earlier and he also got his foot caught under him...which kept him upright for an instant.
Dude needs to get down.

Glad to see Tony is alright and was ready to go back into the game. I'm not going to play the prediction game on how long he can play but I do know that when he is out there he will be giving everything he has got. The guy is a warrior.

Glad to see some consensus on the hit. It was just awkward....funny that I mentioned before Romo said it that it is a lot like getting a stinger. His spine got compressed by the weird angle and the extra weight....not a big deal.

ok doc until the next AWKWARD HIT
Sorry I'm not s negative as you. I'm just going on what Romo said. Romo said he's fine so I'm not worried about it. You don't have to refer to me as "doc" yet, I'm still in school. Once I graduate with my PhD I'll let you know then it will be more appropriate to call me doc, or doctor or some variation of that.

thanks

What didn't help was that Babe (jackass) was saying that it wasn't a hard hit and if Romo can't take that blah blah blah. I find that I don't like Babe any better as a broadcaster than I did as backup QB, but that may be do to my pre-existing bias.

Didn't Babe come out with a theory last year or this offseason where he was saying Romo was done....and almost to the point he was happy about it? He is such a turd. And all of his "Geez Coach Campo, what does it mean when you say that?"

He said that in 2014 as well. I guess eventually he has to be right.

I hate to admit this, but I'm somewhat embarrassed by Romo agonizing after every professional level impact the past few years.

He's a Cowboy all timer, but it just isn't in the cards for him to go the distance and get his ring. He owes us nothing as fans, but he is probably the sole indicator of my emotional investment in the team.

I almost lost friends last night who were laughing at Tony going down again. He's been meme'd his entire career and this doesn't help his cause.

Part of me wants to think it was in the plans for Tony to feign injury so Dak could get a look at a real bloodthirsty D and the organization could finalize his installation as the heir apparent.

That's fallacy. 9's days are numbered. In some ways I just want to fast forward to the possibilities of the future.

I think Prescott is the real thing. It's too bad because Tony was as well.

Actually normal, at least in my case. I fell off a ladder (flat on my ***) and jammed my back similar to what Romo did. I felt like I got a stinger in the shoulder, also. The back has nerves that reach the entire body.
Did your wife let you back on the ladder or did she tell you to put a cap on and sit in the house?:muttley:

Really what did you want him to say. My back is screwed and sore like hell, with Dak breathing down his neck.
