Twitter: Romo took shot to return to game; has back contusion

Well that would make him elite because I guarantee those other franchise qbs feel the same way.

You just hate him and been sadly waiting two months for a loss to unload. Have a great week doing it

I don't hate him

Every good QB in the league is fighting his way on to the field. Brees, Brady, Manning, Rogers, Rivers, Roethlisberger. All of them. All of the greats too. Favre, Aikman, Warner, Marino, Young, Montana.

That's not Tony trying to be a hero. That's not Tony trying to be selfish. That's what a leader looks like. The ones who say Tony shouldn't have come back in, you're saying you want a Jay Cutler or Kyle Orton.

Hopefully he doesn't need a walker by his mid 40s.

I agree Weeden may have been the better choice but it's beyond ridiculous to say Romo wanted to go in because he didn't want Weeden to have any success.

Exactly my point.

It's amazing how little people actually know about football. You could not create a worse scenario if you tried than Brandon Weeden on the 3 yard line against a confusing scheme of heavy blitzes. Weeden has been awful against pressure and blitzes his first two years in the league. It's literally his Achilles heel. Suggesting that Weeden was going to do anything in that situation is lunacy, not to mention typical low IQ hindsight.

I don't see how he thought he would be better than weedon there.

He forced his way into the game. He basically took the ball and the offense away from weedon who was having a nice game and folded.

Fumble. Intentional grounding.

Using time out to prevent delay of game. Then next play almost getting delay -

The were chaotic and a mess at the end.

The team was rallying with weedon in there.

Fell apart when tony came back.

The bottom line is tony did not do what was best for the team tonight.

That is what I have a problem with.

As I said, I agree with you that Weeden may have been the better choice. But to say Romo didn't want him to have success is just bit over board.

Romo probably thought he was the better option. He probably was wrong but that's a decision HC has to make and I think JG blew it.

Do you really believe Romo will risk a loss just because he doesn't want Weeden to have success?
I think Romo at this point in his career feels more secure than that.

Coaches dropped the ball letting him back in the game. You have to save the fighters from themselves sometimes.

If you don't trust QB2 and QB1 can't make the plays, then run the ball and take it into overtime.

Romo is wash up, he folded this game. Every team has the blue primt to beat Romo. Fake or run a all out blitz...money.

You are a funny one, you've had to be quiet for the last six weeks and as soon as we get a blip now you can resume your phony Romo hating act. What courage you possess.

Of course you did.... lol

Break it down for me?
I'm shocked.

You don't think they outplayed us? In 2011 they lost to Det, Ari, NYG, and the Jets because of mistakes.

They lost to GB, Det and Den(a chance @ winning) last season because of mistakes.

We got out willed tonight by a team that played with more grit.

Could the cowboys have pulled it out? Yes

But they are a good team(skins). All they've needed was a QB. Remember I picked them(cowboys) to win 11 when most thought there was no need to suit em up.

They got outplayed tonight... On to the next

Common man, he did that because he wanted to play, doesn't matter if you like Romo or not, you know he is a tough guy and wants to compete. But to think he wanted to come in because he was afraid of Weeden playing well and taking his job is beyond ridiculous, with all due respect.
I like romo. I don't think weedon is going to take his job. I think sometimes tony is too focused on himself.

In that Houston game he made a point in post interview to tell everyone he changed the play from something other than what the coaches called and he was not even asked that question. He just had to get it in. Maybe because he has been heavily criticized for changing plays. But I didn't think that was great for team unity. He wanted to single himself out there. It was unnecessary. He made a play and they won. But he had to let everyone know he changed the play the coach called.

So I've noticed little things like that. I've noticed that he sometimes does too much pre snap and often results in negative plays.

Sometimes I think romo just tries to do too much and forcing himself back in the game when he clearly was not good to go is another example of that.

So do you belive Romo handle the blitz good this game???? Be honest !
