Twitter: Romo took shot to return to game; has back contusion

Hey! In other news, I won the $150 bar tab in football bingo tonight!

Go Romo. Forever.

Well like Herb Brooks said "A bruise on the back is a lot further from the heart your candy a!!." That will get him going. Of course I changed it to fit the situation.

So do you belive Romo handle the blitz good this game???? Be honest !

I have no idea... I don't know exactly what his responsibilities are but I would presume he did not. I also seemed to see tons of screwups by the OL and Murray, but then again I truly don't know what they are supposed to be doing either. As a team, they stunk up the joint against the blitz, that's for sure.

What does that have to do with you hiding under a rock for 6 weeks while Romo was rolling and then saying he's washed up after one game?

As I said, I agree with you that Weeden may have been the better choice. But to say Romo didn't want him to have success is just bit over board.

Romo probably thought he was the better option. He probably was wrong but that's a decision HC has to make and I think JG blew it.

Do you really believe Romo will risk a loss just because he doesn't want Weeden to have success?
I think Romo at this point in his career feels more secure than that.

Romo didnt want Weeden to shine !!!

Romo along with those 2 fumbles killed this game.

It's amazing how little people actually know about football. You could not create a worse scenario if you tried than Brandon Weeden on the 3 yard line against a confusing scheme of heavy blitzes. Weeden has been awful against pressure and blitzes his first two years in the league. It's literally his Achilles heel. Suggesting that Weeden was going to do anything in that situation is lunacy, not to mention typical low IQ hindsight.

I would have liked to see what weedon could do.

So. If he played and didn't handle it ok. The result is a loss. And we lost anywY.

Tony was in no shape to be in there. What's wrong with wanting to see weedon try.

I like romo. I don't think weedon is going to take his job. I think sometimes tony is too focused on himself.

In that Houston game he made a point in post interview to tell everyone he changed the play from something other than what the coaches called and he was not even asked that question. He just had to get it in. Maybe because he has been heavily criticized for changing plays. But I didn't think that was great for team unity. He wanted to single himself out there. It was unnecessary. He made a play and they won. But he had to let everyone know he changed the play the coach called.

So I've noticed little things like that. I've noticed that he sometimes does too much pre snap and often results in negative plays.

Sometimes I think romo just tries to do too much and forcing himself back in the game when he clearly was not good to go is another example of that.

But you'd think that every competitor would want to do that? Especially your franshise QB.
This time it didn't work, but when it does nobody seems to complain, like when he had broken ribs in SF a couple of years back or even in Seattle earlier this year.
We will never know what would had happened if Weeden came in with 1:55 on the clock and at our own 5 yard line, could they have won the game? Yes, but just as easily he could have thrown a pick six and lose it.
If your franchise QB says he's all right and the doctors approve you go with him and live or die with the outcome. IMO we didn't lose because of that, we lost because we got outcoached and outplayed, not to mention the play calling was horrible in OT and for that matter in the 3rd quarter with second and goal at the 3 with Weeden in and we don't run the ball.
Anyways, like I said, kudos to Washington.

Romo wants to win. He doesn't care about who gets to be the hero.

Then why did he not sit the game down when he was hurt? I mess my back up years ago, i know the look Romo was displaying.

Move on to what ? The next lost ?? Romo should have never been allow to play again.

Hold on I'll be back with your tissue. Good news for you is all the other negative Nancys will be back posting again. I expect to see you in those threads.

Terrible game by everyone all around. Knew this was a trap game. Hopefully this humbles us and we move on. Also hopefully romo isn't more injured than we think. A win next week wipes away the terrible taste in our mouth right now.

If that was the case he wouldn't have went back in the game.

Why? He probably believed he was the better option and unless he can't stand up, he is always going to think that way. He probably was wrong and that's when a good HC would make him sit.

Weeden probably does not fair any better unless the coaching staff feels he is not capable of winning the game and proceed to give it to Murray and let's face it they weren't going to do that at the end.

Brilliant! Bet a year's salary on it. I'll even book it for you. C'mon man stand up for your convictions. Not one more win the rest of the year...

Or were you just foolin' around -- I thought so.
