you can scroll back to 2007 on this board and find a thread...........How to and what is the best way to do this?
Guess the best way is if you are a paying member you can go through your own posts and even search the board. I just went back in the forum posts, being non-paying, and around 2008 looked for icons of my avatar to see what threads I posted in. I didn't find the original Cabo story on here though like I wanted to. bit too much of an effort, IMO, and I just wanted to prove that despite being a Romo fan, I had the ability to be critical of him. One of my main criticisms of homers on this board is that even after a loss, they can't even say anything negative of their Idol. It is always someone else's fault. To me when romo lost a game because of an interception, everyone even Romo fans, should be upset at romo for that. Here in Dallas, that's how people and work and on the street act when the QB is responsible for a loss. It's not like on this board where you have people coddling their QB.

The Romo attacks were always so absurd and unjustified. That being said, it never reached the level of visceral hatred that it has for many with Dak. But this board isn’t grown up enough for that discussion.
When you don’t play your best in big games and keep coming up short it will lead to a lot of attacks from a frustrated fan base. The attacks have been worse with Dak because of the amount of money he makes.

Wow your deflecting is high end, everyone knows why you brought up his injury, it’s ok keep trying
What? I'm not the one who brought up his injury lol. I don't get why ypou guys just don't admit you don't like Dak and move on? You guys do this weird passive thing where you say Dak sucks but when someone calls you out on it you get passive. Just stand on it. You can say Dak sucks and I can say Romo was a career choker. What's the issue? WHy is it when I say Romo wasn't elusive at 34 it triggers you to bring up Dak?

Romo isn't even Danny White or Craig Morton level just going by Cowboys QBs only.

Romo doesn't even belong on the same tier as Eli. Results matter much more than stats do.

People are trying in real time to make a slightly above average QB who couldn't handle big game pressure into a legend.
No lies told.

I can see that from some people. There’s a lot of different reasons the attacks come. I usually get frustrated with the franchise for not having a complete team. I truly believe Jerry wants the flash. He doesn’t care about the football player side of it. The guys who have to do the dirty work. For the most part.

The sad thing is that some on here can't accept that Dak is probably cooked, and think that they're going to get 2023 not 2024 next year. Dak has taken his wear and tear like Romo has, to me with romo was he was one hit away, with Dak is he is too slow in the backfield and now deer caught in headlights is him just standing around back there, taking a sack. If this is who he was before the injury, what makes people think that is not who he will be when he comes back? Dak had to have been pretty bad for the likes of AC to throw him under the bus, and only jumped back on the wagon because Dak getting injured was an convienent excuse, IMO.
I agree that Dak is now at 2016 Romo injury status...given his most recent injury. I think he is closer to re-injuring it than ove4coming it. The only difference is that we dont have QB as viable as Dak was on the roster (or as talented as a roster as we had in 2016). Who knows, maybe after the draft and FA that will change...but I doubt it with this front office.

The Attacks are worse with Dak, because people expect the cowboys to get deeper in the playoffs, after such a long drought. When realizing that Dak won't make that happen, ever, even if it isn't all his fault, they are ready to move on.

How nice you pick and choose, I didn’t think I wrote this by itself. I wrote it with the explanation. That you chose to ignore.
It does not matter what you wrote afterwards, it's your first few words that are totally bogus as hell!

The question is why weren't people ready for Romo to move on? Did he need 10 more years to learn the job?

First of all, I think Cooper Rush is just a backup, a good backup, but just a backup. He will never be as good as a Quarterback as peek Dak. However, I don't think 3-5 Dak is better than Cooper Rush. You don't have to be a "semi" pro to know that you can't win in the NFL if your Quarterback just stands around in the backfield, taking sacks. 2016 Dak had instincts and was elusive in the backfield, but I am afraid that the Cowboys coached his instincts out of him, and now that he is worn and slow, this trend that actually started before this season of him taking sacks back there is going to continue.

This has nothing to do with Romo nor Dak, it is where Dak fell in order of Quarterbacks we had since we won a championship. Dak had his chance, and it doesn't seem he can do it in the playoffs. I assume, you think that you are getting 2023 Dak next year.

Fans expected them to get deeper in the playoffs with Romo. We had some real good teams then that came up short. Romo didn’t play well in those games which led to a lot of attacks. Fans were ready to move on from him after the 2012 season when he laid an egg against Washington that kept us out of the playoffs. He was in line for an extension and fans wanted the team to move on. It’s been the same with Dak but the amount of money he makes has made the attacks relentless.
