Correct . From 2006 - 2016 Dallas only had two top defenses in scoring. 2012 9th and 2013 7th.

Scoring defense is often misleading anyway because of unforced turnovers from the offense and special teams which leads to points.

It didn’t even used to be a stat we closely watched unti Fantasy Football. Total yards has always been the official measurement by the NFL.
You've got it backwards, Diehard.

Those 2012 and 2013 defenses were putrid. 2013 was 32nd in total yards and 26th in scoring. You have your data organized backwards.

Really weak comparison and non factual. We're talking about the Ring Of Honor here not the Hall, one has nothing to do with the other. Nothing! And Ware won a SB with Denver not Dallas in case YOU forgot which has nothing to do with the Cowboys Ring Of Honor. Did you miss the entire thread title ROH?

Not to mention, Ware needing to leave the Cowboys to get a Super Bowl on a historic defense actually helps the case of both Witten and Romo.

Ware wouldn't have gotten a ring here - heck, Ware was part of the WORST Cowboys defense in their history.

My point was Romo doesn't below. The only ones that do from THIS era is Witten and Ware. If you don't understand that, I feel sorry for you.

Hey, I agree that White should also be in.

But You just can't help yourself wit the lies
Aikman NEVER threw 5 TDs in any playoff game (win or lose) and if he had, he certainly never woulv'e lost.

In fact in Dallas' 5 playoff losses with Aikman at QB, he threw a combined 4 TDs and 11 ints.

This is not to diss Aikman, it's just that you keep posting false data.

here are Aikmans' playoff loss results
1991: 0 TDs, 1 int
1994: 2 TDs, 3 ints
1996: 1 TD, 3 ints
1998: 1 TD, 3 ints
1999: 0 TD, 1 ints

Total 4 TDs, 11 ints
Good stuff !!

Here’s the scores in the playoffs in the SB run
1992- 34-10, 30-20, 52-17
1993- 27-17, 38-21,30-14
1995- 30-11,38-27,27-17

Only once did defense give up more than 21 points . 6 of those playoff wins including 2 Super Bowls less than 20 points

Let’s go back to 70’s Super Bowl wins

1971- 20-12, 14-3, 24-3.
Defense only gave up 18 points in 3 postseason games
1977- 37-7, 23-6, 27-10.. 23 points given up total

Final score in 5 Super Bowl wins
24-3, 27-10, 52-17,30-13, 27-17
17 points most we have given up in a SB Win

Ware needed to leave the team to get a SB. He had to be part of a historic defense.

Nice context you left out, old timer.

You are slow. Hours our PBJ and Fortnite will do that to you. The poster suggested that none of the Cowboys had won anything. My point, junior, was that Ware had in fact won. These are Cowboys fans - do we need to remind them that Ware won in Denver. Idiot.

Ware did not win anything WITH US. You know, which is what the Ring of Honor is about - you know, Dallas Cowboys, what they achieved. Ware can get accolades in Denver for that Super Bowl win.

Ware got his ring while being surrounded by ridiculous talent that created a historic defense and having a great defensive coordinator.

Here? Here Ware was part of the worst defense in Cowboys history before he bounced.

You want to try this again?

Ware would still be considered a HOF even without the SB win. Witten is a shoe in. Romo? No.

"Is he a Hall of Famer" is not an argument.

It is actually. My point is that this is not a good era for this team. If you had to choose someone to go into the ROH it would be Ware and Witten over Romo. Of course in this age of participation awards why not expand the requirements and invite Terrence Newman to the party.

Look at the list of ROH members. Romo does not below.

No, no it is not. The HOF and ROH are separate things and have a different set of standards and this is CLEAR since it is already confirmed Romo will get in the ROH.

Stop posting BS.

You really are dense. Ware is #8 all time sack leader. Most of which was in Dallas. 9 time Pro Bowler. 4 time All Pro. Romo was never an All Pro. Never.

I don't care about the HOF - we're not talking about that. We're talking about a Super Bowl victory.

I know the IQ of this board dropped significantly lately, but holy crap. KEEP UP!

Ok cool, smart internet guy!

So do you think Ware is ROH caliber? Witten? Romo.

Go.

Look Tony, I disagree with you. In your case subjective based rewards are the best. You were a good QB and have a nice start to the broadcasting career. Enjoy that.

No, don't try this. You went from "Well Ware won in Denver" to be me destroying that silly argument since the ROH pertains to what he did with the Cowboys, and now you're moving to stats and popularity contests.

Romo holds most of the Cowboys QB records, and has one of the best QB ratings in NFL history. All-Pro, like pro-bowls, are popularity contests.

We're done here, your arguments have been poor and you're shifting the goal post. Time to retire, old timer.

You lost the argument. Before labeling someone an "idiot", you better have good counters lined up. Now you're attempting some lame boomer trolling.

Sit down.
