It's funny, for all the talk that Aikman teams were loaded, which is fair, Romo will have played with almost as many HOFers as Troy...........TO, and future ones Ware and Whitten.
I think all three of those guys will be HOFers….though TO did a lot of his work elsewhere.

I'd say Aikman played with several HOF level players...fwiw.
Still...53 players on a team
It was the quality of the overall roster that made those teams devastating.
Also, the entire Cowboy coaching staff was strong in all areas in the early 90s

Cowboys Ring of Honor obviously needs to include Jimmy Johnson, and that's obviously not happening because Jerry holds a grudge. But that mistake isn't a reason to make other mistakes.

It's always funny how fans can complain about how the owner/GM/HC/OC/DC/etc. have all been trash forever, yet turn around and pour out all their bile on one individual player for not magically giving them all the wins. Even an NFL QB is only one guy playing a team sport. Once Romo threw 5 TDs and the Cowboys still lost I basically stopped listening to anybody complaining about how Romo was holding the team back greatness or whatever. It's so transparently dumb it's not even worth engaging with.

He needed that because his top 10 offense wasn't going to score much in elimination games.
Dallas had a top 10 defense in yards 5 times during the Romo years and 2 times they were top in points allowed.

Danny White only had 1 top 10 defense in yards during his starting years and got the Cowboys to the playoffs 5 out of 7 years as a starter with 3 playoff wins and 3 NFC Championship games.

Jerry can do what he wants. But when it comes to Romo, you are what you are.

You’re including the defenses when Romo wasn’t starting.

Like in 2003 Cowboys had top defense which carried Quincy to the playoffs.

Aikman threw 5 TDs in a game but still loss in the first round of the playoffs. So it is worth engaging with Jerry Jones revisionist history.

Romo also threw 5 interceptions in the game (Buffalo) but the defense kept the Cowboys in the game and Dallas won in spite of Romo. He also threw 5 interceptions versus the Bears and lost.

Romo was on a team the broke the NFL record for most Pro Bowlers from a single team. But the lost in the 1st round of the playoffs with home field advantage. But he got a bang out of Jessica Simpson the weekend before in Cabo.

Put Danny White in the Ring of Honor, then you can put Romo. That would highlight failure to get to the Super Bowl for White and Failure to get to a NFC Championship game by Romo.

Dallas was NEVER the top defense in points allowed in the Romo era.

You should not be allowed to come on a forum and state false data like that.
False opinions maybe, but not actual false data...

They were, however, the very worst defense in Dallas Cowboys history one of those years (2013)...so there's that.

That would eliminate 1 top 10 defense in yards. He was on the team.

Keep drinking the Jonestown Kool-Aid. It has killed what the Dallas Cowboys standards where before Jerry took full control.

So Romo shouldn't be in because he "never won a thing" but Ware and Witten should? What did uh they win again?

First Question - Are Witten and Ware HOFers

Yes

Second Question - Are Witten and Ware first ballott HOFers

Yes

Third Question - Is Romo a HOFer

No

So essentially we are comparing likely first ballot HOFers to a nice QB that has zero chance at the HOF. See the difference? Ware did win a SB in case you forgot.

Shows how petty JJ is. Romo goes in, but the guy who gave you 3 rings..Jimmy is not.
Jerry got those rings because of his GM skills, Jimmy only coached, don't believe me Jerry say's so, and everyone trusts and believes Jerry.( sad sad sad)

Hey, I agree that White should also be in.

But You just can't help yourself wit the lies
Aikman NEVER threw 5 TDs in any playoff game (win or lose) and if he had, he certainly never woulv'e lost.

In fact in Dallas' 5 playoff losses with Aikman at QB, he threw a combined 4 TDs and 11 ints.

This is not to diss Aikman, it's just that you keep posting false data.

here are Aikmans' playoff loss results
1991: 0 TDs, 1 int
1994: 2 TDs, 3 ints
1996: 1 TD, 3 ints
1998: 1 TD, 3 ints
1999: 0 TD, 1 ints

Total 4 TDs, 11 ints

That's backwards

For example, 2013 should be 32nd, not 1st

Ware needed to leave the team to get a SB. He had to be part of a historic defense.

Nice context you left out, old timer.

Correct . From 2006 - 2016 Dallas only had two top defenses in scoring. 2012 9th and 2013 7th.

Scoring defense is often misleading anyway because of unforced turnovers from the offense and special teams which leads to points.

It didn’t even used to be a stat we closely watched unti Fantasy Football. Total yards has always been the official measurement by the NFL.

Read my post. I said he threw 5 TDs in a game (Washington). Then lost in the 1st round of the playoffs (Chan Gailey was HC). That was a direct comparison to Romo's 5 TDs in a game by the OP.

Really weak comparison and non factual. We're talking about the Ring Of Honor here not the Hall, one has nothing to do with the other. Nothing! And Ware won a SB with Denver not Dallas in case YOU forgot which has nothing to do with the Cowboys Ring Of Honor. Did you miss the entire thread title ROH?
