ok, you disagree. That's fine.

I think he's one of the best QBs in the NFL. He showed enough. I think his accomplishments and failures should stand on their own, with no excuses or downplaying. I wouldn't want anyone to toss "He's a system QB/he only succeeds because of TO and Glenn" at me - i don't think it's fair to excuse a poor outing by him with "gameplan." He could have played alot better in that game, against that competition. Maybe next year...

All that praise I doused on him, and the company I put him in, and that's what you got?

The hell you say!

LOL!

heh....maybe. ;)

In any case, I'd like to see it. I'd like any of the games from the past year to look at.

I think it's time for Theogt and Superpunk to...

I think he'll be wonderful. He's the least of our worries - IMO.

Use of the word "wonderful" when referring to a football player is a bit effete. I would suggesting using words like; "great", "talented", "strong", "reliable".

Words to stay away from; "buff", "butch", "stud", "dreamy".

Just my opinion, but as pointed out in other threads, I am a homophobe.

Use of the word effete on a football forum is dreamy.

Our strategy in the Seattle game (or lack thereof) is one that will baffle us for ages to come.
That was a gameplan that made absolutely zero sense. I'll never get what BP was trying to do. Unless he was doing that 'play not to lose' theory again.

Well, we are all waiting for the season to start. As football fans, well, we wait. So can I stir it up a bit??

So, I thought I would give a little entertainment in the off season about Romo. Maybe some of you think the same.

Me, just me, as an objective lover of football, I think Romo is not your guy. I'm thinking, he dropped the ball on the field goal attempt. On purpose, yep, I think that. Why, I am going to be the star today. Anyone else think that??? Just a thought. It's not that I am coming on here to start nonsense, I was sitting there watching the game and said it is over -- then I turned it back on and saw the play and that was the first thought that went in my mind.

Smile, joy, jumping around. You know you are a QB of a top notch, respected team, and???? Well, that is OK, but there is a game to be played and it includes everyone on the team. So, that smile, well, stop it already. Jumping around, get over it already.

Well, I am sure I will be jumped all over. But, I really mean what I say. I think Romo is over the top. Cool bud, it will do you better.

OK, I'm ready for it.

The disgusting thing about it is that the Seahawks had such a depleted secondary yet I think we rarely challenged them... If we had such a terrible ending to the season and were GIVEN a playoff spot essentially by mathematics and not by our play, wouldn't you think we would try to go out guns blazing? I mean it is a bit ridiculous to me IMO.

Great points and post, though it is a rehash.

How did we get a playoff berth by mathematics, we were 9-7 and the other wildcard was what, 8-8? Not like we won on tie breakers.

If you think he deliberately dropped the ball, then you know nothing about the game or life in general.

Well, you can disagree with me.

But, one thing you cannot disagree with. I know football, and I know life.

I think I am pretty sure about what I am saying.

It just made no sense. And if it doesn't make sense, well, then you take it from there.

We disagree because it is a stupid statement, evidently you don't know much of anything making lame statement like this.

Uh, what?

The idea that he fumbled on purpose is asinine.

The idea that he has the huge SEG all the time, well, I might agree with you a little.

You are 54 years old, huh?

Do you still believe in the boogie man?

Also, I think Brady fumbled the ball during that snow storm! AND, he did it intentionally...but, the refs wanted your team to win so they reversed the call!

Grow up, old man!

He really didn't play great in Lions game. Four fumbles and three turnovers total, didn't exactly help us. What more can we ask? Protect the football better.

But there is nothing about his play in the last 5 games that really has me worried that he won't be a fine quarterback for us. He has made easily correctable errors and on the flip-side, has made the kind of plays that simply can't be taught.

I mentioned this to my brother a few days after the game. I said, man this guy did this on purpose. He wanted to be the star, thought he could pull it off, but it didn't work.

And then I thought, Parcells thought he had the guy, didn't and said OFF. Not that I think that is any great loss. Believe me, I think Parcells is overrated. He can take a team to the top in two, maybe three years, after that, well, not going to happen. So be glad you are rid of him -- at this point anyway.

I think I am right, Romo is a hot shot. I'm also pretty sure he is not going to be the guy you think he is. I think you should have drafted Quinn.

Just my thoughts, I have no vested interest.

But it is kind of fun to throw this stuff out. My feelings, for what it is worth, waiting for the real games to begin.
