I just wish he would do for his boy Bledsoe. No one is propping up Romo. He had a bad game against New Orleans, but he has been pretty awesome since his first start.

Lets look further. Romo's passer rating against teams with winning records or possible playoff teams.

Colts
Panthers
Saints

4 Tds & 9 INTS

2 Td's against a prevent defense in the Giant Game
1 Td Today that was a horrible throw that should have been picked off.
1 TD = 3 yard pass to Witten against Carolina and they are below 500.

You can cuss at me all you want, but the stats dont lie. We better be looking to draft a QB or bring in a highly paid FA. He just doesn't throw the ball well down the field. Without recievers making plays, the dinks and dumps against last place teams just make stats rise and innocent fans happy, but good teams will beat you in the playoffs, or playoff type games. (tonight)

Very reasonable and spot on.

I suspect he'll get a chance to show us. We may look like a completely different team Sat nite. Hopefully that will be better and not worse.

No doubt. Romo's 71 QB rating against playoff teams is still better than Drew's 69.2 rating for this season, not too far behind Bledsoe's career rating of 77.1 and much better than Drew's playoff career rating of 54.9. If someone wants to replace Romo with a better QB, I am all for it. Bledsoe is not a better QB.

Romo had a poor game and it still wasn't as poor as the defense's performance.

I don't think his performance up to this point has answered the question as to whether Dallas needs a QB or not for the future. The remaining 3 regular season games and any possible playoff games will go a long way to answering that.

I have liked what I have seen from Romo and am surprised at how well he has done this year. I lean toward him being the guy, but there is so little to go off of to make that assessment. Same can be said for him not being the guy. I don't know what information others have to ascertain that Dallas definitly needs to go find another QB. The Cowboys are 5-2 with Romo at the helm with good quality wins against Indy, Carolina and New York. That is impressive. Like I said, the remainder of the season will tell us a lot more about Romo. It still may not tell us everything, but we will know more now than we did at the beginning of the sesaon.

Against the vaunted Indy offense, the D gave up only 14 points! Considering Indy's defense sucks, I'd say its hard to lose when your D only allows 14 points against such a team. Even if you toss no TDs and 1 INT, as Romo did in this game!

Against Carolina, the defense gave up 10 points, and again people give all the credit to Romo (1 TD, 1 INT) but berate the defense. WHEN YOU ONLY GIVE UP 10 POINTS, YOU ARE GOING TO WIN THE GAME! Even if you only toss 1 TD!

And against NY, a team against which Romo has thrown 5 INTs and did not throw a TD in the recent win, the D allowed only 20 points and the Cowboys win. Did I mention Romo's 58.1 rating in this game? Or his lost fumble?

Yet he is the main reason for such success? That these "quality wins" can only be attributed to Romo is pure propaganda put forth by his worshippers.

I'm not saying he can't be the future QB, but he ain't Mr. Moxie as some people are desperately trying to prop him up as, just so they can say they were first to tell us so!

I didn't consider it one then, and I don't consider it one now. Big win yes....over a good team? No.

He is an average QB, nothing more nothing less. He looks great at times and looks horrible at times. Like any other average QB in the league, he tends to have bad games against good teams and good games against bad teams.

I have nothing against him, I'm just pointing this out again to the fans.

Sounds like to me you are the one that likes to say "Itoldyousoe".

There is a lot of football remaining before Romo goes to "Canton" or not. However, only a blind man would deny the fact that it was Romo who turned the whole season around. Of course it is a team sport, but individuals can be the catalyst as Parcells likes to say.

Clearly this team has been a different team since Romo became the starter (aside from the Saints game). That game was bad on so many levels. I can not think of anyone from coaching, players, kickers, waterboy, and heck even Rowdy the mascot, that had a good game. Stupid mascot signaling incomplete pass to the Saints defender who had just successfully defended one of our passed in the end zone.

I think you were being a little unfair including Romo's numbers against Carolina. You weren't being strict enough. I'll just look at how he did against teams who would make the playoffs if the season ended today.

And let's use this same standard to expose a couple of other QB's while we're at it...

I don't see how you can discard that win by looking at their record now. Also, they lost the first 2 of the year without Steve Smith. I had a lengthy debate on this board about not considering Carolina a "Good team" right after we beat them and they were leading their division.

I don't, and haven't considered them a good team or any kind of measuring stick for how great we are.

Hindsight man we all would have bought Microsoft. I guess you are a better predictor of teams than, I don't know, every magazine and nearly every "expert" on an NFL show? Keep in mind that unlike us, the Panthers BEAT the SAINTS, but I guess somehow that doesn't count.
