It is funny to see the reactions of the people that are Romo fans first, Cowboys fans second.

He is not the answer, lets move on.

You are to Romo like HH31 is to Vince Young. You claim to be Cowboys first but you are nothing but a troll. You point the finger at Romo and dismiss the fact that the OL was putrid. It is just like the people bashing TO you only take one instance to get your point across. The funny thing is you think you are making a point but to an intelligent fan you are only proving yourself wrong.

You can spin it anyway you want but the defense lost that game and had it been close in the 4th quarter I know Tony would of won the game for us. Why you ask? Because even after his struggles he got the job done against the Colts and Giants and stats don't tell that story.

That my friend is something Quincy never did.

He is an average QB, nothing more nothing less. He looks great at times and looks horrible at times. Like any other average QB in the league, he tends to have bad games against good teams and good games against bad teams.

I have nothing against him, I'm just pointing this out again to the fans.

You sir, like me, are a HATER. It's funny, any criticism of this team or presentation of FACTS, leads one to be labled a, ahem, "HATER." ;)

What a load.

Sans that 4 game winning streak, what have we done? We've been an up and down team, we've got our arses kicked on national TV twice, can't cover deep, can't generate a pass rush, etc., etc.

If we nut-up and win out -- because now's when it counts -- then perhaps I'll change my mind and expectations.

Sorry if I didn't have us in the Super Bowl and Romo in the HOF already.

That is what it appears like. I admit early on with the Cowboys I did not think Romo would make it as a starter but when he was given the opportunity he took advantage of it something the other guys did not do. You would think Romo would have earned some respect by all Cowboy fans but it seems agendas mean more.

Anyone can search out my posts. I was never ever sold on Romo. No one can claim that Romo was "my guy". I said many times before that I did not think Romo could make it in the NFL...until I actually saw him in a real NFL game.

The dude is going to be our QB for a very long time. He did have a bad game against NO. That is his first bad game since he became the starter. The Giants game was not a bad game by him whatsoever. It was not the kind of game that will go down in Cowboys history as an all time great performance, but he was very effective specially when it counted the most.

So these yahoos pounce on Romo after one and I repeat one bad game. I would like to know which QB we could get that is guaranteed to not have one bad game out of seven?

Can all of that be placed on Romo's shoulders though?

Umm...H Town. Read some of Cowboyblogs previous posts. He is a Bledsoe guy through and through. The guy wants Bledsoe back in the lineup. Bledsoe performed much worse than Romo when he played against quality competition.

I think this coming game will be one of Romo biggest test as the starting QB. He has to be able to rally the troops this weekend after such a big loss. It is hard to put a game like the saints game behind you and players I think will be looking to Romo to come up big in this game

I am so upset with myself for getting into this conversation. This is absurd. Just came across the ticker that the Patriots have cut Tom Brady because he was shut out by the Dolphin's on Sunday. I knew a 6th ound draft pick couldn't play in the league!

LOL... Yeah I guess they need to find a #1 draft pick college hot shot to come in and save the day. You know it all has to do with your draft status. :lmao2:

Funny this post is still going.

I was telling this guy he was wrong and people were definitely gonna get on his case.

Seems like I was dead on.

I was smarter than you guys though and got off this thread after a few posts ;)

They just do not get it. Actually, I think they do get it but the fact of the matter is that "their guy" is not the man anymore and they are tired of swallowing that bitter pill so they just wait idly by the keyboard waiting for Romo to mess up.

I mean we all know one game makes a career. One bad game.

Who is "their" guy, Bledsoe? If anyone thinks Bledsoe should still be the QB of this team then they need to get into drug counseling ASAP! I have no doubt we would be sitting pretty at 5-8 with Drew playing. What a joke!

Yeah, I know. Drewpie's are a funny breed for sure. There is no doubt in my mind that Dallas would be fighting with Commanders for last place if he were still QBing.

No doubt. Romo's 71 QB rating against playoff teams is still better than Drew's 69.2 rating for this season, not too far behind Bledsoe's career rating of 77.1 and much better than Drew's playoff career rating of 54.9. If someone wants to replace Romo with a better QB, I am all for it. Bledsoe is not a better QB.

Romo had a poor game and it still wasn't as poor as the defense's performance.

I don't think his performance up to this point has answered the question as to whether Dallas needs a QB or not for the future. The remaining 3 regular season games and any possible playoff games will go a long way to answering that.

I have liked what I have seen from Romo and am surprised at how well he has done this year. I lean toward him being the guy, but there is so little to go off of to make that assessment. Same can be said for him not being the guy. I don't know what information others have to ascertain that Dallas definitly needs to go find another QB. The Cowboys are 5-2 with Romo at the helm with good quality wins against Indy, Carolina and New York. That is impressive. Like I said, the remainder of the season will tell us a lot more about Romo. It still may not tell us everything, but we will know more now than we did at the beginning of the sesaon.

I have not seen every game Romo has played in....but coming from an outsiders perspective this kid doesn't look like he's a big game player...that should be a concern for cowboys fans down the stretch.....

It is funny to see the Romo fans attack the defense, the recievers, teh coaching staff, the owner and the offensive line for Romo's poor performance and then call me a "hater" for not rooting for the Cowboys.

I've had a Cowboy room since before most of them were born. I've got ticket stubbs older than most of them. I was a Cowboy fan when most of these guys were baby steelers fans or packers fans.

If anyone in this forum thinks that Romo playing for the cowboys began as anything more than a grudge match between two men, then they shouldn't call anyone else unintelligent. Romo's poor performance was actually the best thing to happen to our organization for the long term.

Bottom line: I wouldn't by a Romo jersey just yet.

I could live with that attitude. I wish more Cowboys fans would think like this.

Romo was leading the league in the passer rating stat.

Lets look further. Romo's passer rating against teams with winning records or possible playoff teams.

Giants
Colts
Panthers
Saints

4 Tds & 9 INTS

2 Td's against a prevent defense in the Giant Game

1 Td Today that was a horrible throw that should have been picked off.

1 TD = 3 yard pass to Witten against Carolina and they are below 500.

ROMO'S PASSER RATING AGAINST WINNING TEAMS: 71.3

You can cuss at me all you want, but the stats dont lie. We better be looking to draft a QB or bring in a highly paid FA. He just doesn't throw the ball well down the field. Without recievers making plays, the dinks and dumps against last place teams just make stats rise and innocent fans happy, but good teams will beat you in the playoffs, or playoff type games. (tonight)

Next Two Weeks:
Atlanta = Winning Record
Philly = Winning Record

do me a favor. can you do the same thing for all other QBs against playoff teams?
