We all know Romo's regular season stats are far better than guys like Eli or Ben

But few realize that his playoff QB rating (93) and int ratio are also better than those guys and Rivers, and almost everyone else.

Won't matter without a ring and maybe a couple of deep runs

It's not just Super Bowls, and it is Super Bowls. Romo's contemporaries (Brady, Rodgers, Peyton, Eli, Brees, Roethlisberger) all have Super Bowl rings AND, in some cases, multiple Super Bowl rings. But Brady, Rodgers, and Peyton have won league MVPs. Brees, Roethlisberger, Brady and Peyton have led the league in passing.
Romo has NONE of those titles.
Unfortunately, players are judged by their class. With those six possessing more accolades in key areas than Romo, I don't see how Romo gets in without a Super Bowl.
I don't disagree, but it's not a joke as the Eagles troll implied. And Romo does have one of those titles so you might take it easy on the bolded all caps.

Romo led the league in passing in 2014.

A QB makes his name in the playoffs. Unfortunately Romo has only 2 playoff wins. He'll have to be content with the ROH unless he wins a SB.

Quarterback rating determines who led the league in passing. Yardage, by itself, doesn't have a title.
Thanks. I wasn't even going to bother replying because I thought it was obvious.
I mean you could lead in yardage and throw 40 ints.

If you take where Romo came from he definitely deserves consideration.

He would if he played for another team but being the QB for Dallas a different standard is set. Danny White got to NFC Championship games and he isn't going in so Romo with 2 payoff wins isn't getting as of today that could change

Whenever I hear that a player can't be in the hall of fame due to lack of rings I shake my head because if that the case then some of the best players ever like Dan Marino, who have never won a ring shouldn't be in hall of fame and he was still one of best qb of his time.

Whether or not Romo doesn't get a ring he should still be in consideration for a hof spot as his stats prove that he a great qb like Marino.

Romo will get in, but most likely not in his first year of eligibility regardless of whether he wins a championship.

Quarterback rating determines who led the league in passing. Yardage, by itself, doesn't have a title.

Well, when I researched passers who've thrown for the most yards, it pulls up a list of those quarterbacks. With respect to what gets quarterbacks in the Hall of Fame, I think the weight is given more to actual yardage than passer ratings.
