Roy covering Shockey-->>Whose Idea?

Man I thought this thread ended.....this is obvious...the ball was thrown to Shockey's outside left shoulder because Roy obviously could have made a play if the ball was thrown inside.....

Really...

Look where Roy is when he allegedly takes the inside route, i.e. when Shockey makes his break in snap 1... In snap 2, look how far Roy is from Shockey, and look how far the ball is from Shockey..

Does he take the inside route by moving backwards and behind Shockey?

Have you ever seen that A-1 Steak Sauce commercial where the guys are tailgating. The cook drops some of the sauce on the grill and he's staring at it.....his friends say, "just let it go".........that's what you should do about this argument because it's pointless.

Dude, let me bottom line something for you. That was tight coverage by Roy and a good throw and catch beat the tight coverage. It happens all the time in the NFL.

The dude could have Shockey himself tell him face to face that it was good, tight coverage by Roy and he still wouldn't accept it.

While watching the game last nite, I noticed on Shockey's TD catch that Bradie James seemed to have underneath coverage...until another TE ,#88, ran a short crossing route and opened it up for Shockey. That leads me to believe that Dallas had zone coverage called underneath with man over the top but the other TE wasn't accounted for, therefore 56 had break off his assignment...it seemed like it was more of the play being well designed and called at the right time rather than just terrible coverage by Williams.
