Hate to break it to you, there guy, but our starting ROT was a first round draft choice of the Chicago Bears, not a seventh rounder.

So you are going to tell me who's the Chargers' ROT? I am not going to be a smart-alec, but Shane Olivea is our starting Right Offensive Tackle, drafted in 2004 in the 7th round out of Ohio St. The reason that he lasted so long was that he was coming off of an injury.

Edit: I see, you thought I was talking about the Cowboys starting ROT.

Brandon Jackson? :lmao:
*Brandon Jackson 5-10, 210 4.54 Nebraska (X)

He is smaller than Michael Turner and slower! But hey, you know best. I guess that would be like a Charger fan discussing the talents of MBIII and I say who is he? Cowboys fans would know exactly who he is and what he brings to the table. Whatever.

you seem to put a lot of stock in turner simply because he's a charger.

if he were a chief, for example, would you still feel the same way about turner? my guess is you'd not care about him at all.

Titans step up efforts to land Turner, Williams

By JIM WYATT

On the eve of the NFL Draft, the Titans are working to acquire Chargers running back Michael Turner and Lions wide receiver Mike Williams.

The moves could alter the team’s direction in the draft.

On Friday, the Titans and Chargers continued to discuss a trade involving Turner, who rushed for 502 yards and two touchdowns as the back-up to NFL MVP LaDainian Tomlinson.

ESPN reported the Chargers are prepared to trade Turner after receiving an acceptable contract offer from another team. According to the report, an unidentified team offered the Chargers a first-round pick in the 2008 draft, and San Diego is willing to accept the deal.

The Titans, Bills and Packers are among the teams who've expressed an interest in Turner, although Chargers General Manager A.J. Smith has said other teams are also interested.

The Titans did not offer a first-round pick in next year's draft, according to sources familiar with the trade talks, but have discussed other options including a swap of first round picks in this year’s draft. The Titans are scheduled to pick 19th overall, the Chargers 30th.

Another trade scenario would involve the Titans giving up a second-round pick in this year’s draft, along with further compensation either in this year’s draft or in next year’s draft.

Titans officials could not immediately be reached for comment on Friday. Agent Bus Cook, who represents Turner, said no one had talked to him about a deal.

“If it's true, somebody has to call me to tell me about it,’’ Cook said. “I don’t have a clue, unless it's the Titans, but I don't know. They haven't called me about it.’’

On Thursday, Turner signed his tender with the Chargers, a required step for a trade to go through (players have to be signed and under contract in order to be traded).

Also on Thursday, Titans General Manager Mike Reinfeldt said contract talks with Cook had reached a point where the two sides could reach an agreement pretty quickly.

As for Williams, the Titans and Lions have discussed trade options. A first-round pick by the Lions in 2005 out of USC, he caught eight passes for 99 yards last season.

The Lions are in the mix to draft Georgia Tech's Calvin Johnson with the No. 2 pick.

I have no problem with trading for Turner but I would do it with this years number 1 not next. Turner is a stud and better than anyone Dallas will get at 22. More than likely they will be drafting later than 22 next year, but if someone like Romo, Newman, Ware, Adams went down it could be a lot higher pick also. The problem would be you would have no leverage with trading Jones at that point. Maybe a second and Jones would do the trick for San Diego?
