yo... the Skins were 5-6 last year, how many 5-6 teams make the playoffs then talk SUPERBOWL the next year? They were not that good last year, they had a good run to end it thats all just like the BILLS did the year before!

Brunells stats were a joke in the second half of the season please look at them along with Moss' stats! I hope to high heaven Brunell plays... then the Skins fans wont be using it as an excuse when they lose 10 games!

most of Brunells key plays is when he is able to make people miss in the pocket and deliver the ball... any other time he stares down his WR (look at the replay of the 2 TDs to MOSS last year) leaving no doubt where he is going with the ball! Why else do the skins go out and get 2 more WRs... the guy is a bumb with a nice deep ball and some pocket pressence... now with bad knees and a thumb you want him to retire?

SKins fans better hope KERRY COLLINs can still play!!!

I absolutely couldn't agree more with you. I"ve been saying the same thing over at ES for months. Of course they don't buy it. I can't wait for the excuses to start this year.

..and yet, despite all of that, Brunell outplayed Bledsoe last year.

What does that make Bledsoe then?

I was laxing over at a Deadskins site and run cross this postings on Brunells status:

Oh Lordy wood this be some great news for my heart! I hopeded something bad will happens at them Deadskins and it look like my prayer be answered with a big YESS from on high.

No guarantees yet. Could still be just a rumors of foul but like the good book say wear they is smoke they is fire for sure.

Snyder and Gibbs on suicide watch waiting to see if Brunell come to camp or not.

Please retires Brunell!! We will light up Jason Cambell like he a christmas tree with those deer in the headlites stair and his lack of ignorance from his low wonderlick score.

Ha har!! Ha har!! Ha har!!

We are Superbowl bound for sure!!

Why on earth would anyone get happiness from another player being so injured he has to retire. Totally classless.

Could have had just a bit to do with the fact that one guy was sacked 31 times and the other was sacked 50 times.

I'll let you figure out which is which...........

Excuses matter little.

Results matter more.

I don't deny that the OL's downfall led to Bledsoe's downfall. How much so is debatable.

But the fact of the matter is, none of it matters. We went 9-7 and didn't make the playoffs. That's all that counts.

You can use the OL "woeful play" and that it should be better in predicting the following season...I have no problem with that. But we went 9-7. That's what matters/counts.

Sure, like a RedStink fan can figure stuff like that out!

Why are you challenging the few brain cells in their tiny heads?

I don't deny its effect.

But it doesn't matter; Bledsoe was outperformed by Brunell last year. Avoiding sacks is part of it.

Would you rather have Brusmell over Bledsoe this year?

On a side note, who do you like better at Offensive Tackle?

Rob Petitti and Torrin Tucker?

or

Chris Samuels and Jon Jansen?

I'm just curious?

So now....we are projecting the future?

I was talking about last year's performances.

Not this year.

Just answer the question. I said nothing about projecting/predicting the future...

Would you rather have Brusmell over Bledsoe this coming season?

No. You aren't.

I do not deny the fact that the Skins line is better than ours. Nor do I deny the fact that Brunell was better protected. Nor that Bledsoe was outplayed by Brunell. The results say so, regardless of why.

And again, I ask you the relevence of this question to the debate of who performed better last year than this year.

Screw it. I will just answer it rather than go back and forth with you. Who do I think will have a better year next year? Bledsoe. But I am biased.

Which, of course, has nothing to do with the statement I made that Brunell outperformed Bledsoe last year. Every year is a different year, with different results.

Early in the season before the line went into the toilet Bledsoe was easily outperforming Brunell. Extrapolate that over 16 games and saying Brunnell was better is a joke.

OK, don't answer a simple question...that tells me all I need to know.

Carry on....

And if you extrapolate Ware's early season play before teams figured to double team him, Ware was easily outperforming many defensive players. Over the course of 16 games, he might have been in contention for DPOY.

Point?

You can't extrapolate. It doesn't matter. What matters are the results....not the "why's" or the "what-ifs."
