No. You aren't.

I do not deny the fact that the Skins line is better than ours. Nor do I deny the fact that Brunell was better protected. Nor that Bledsoe was outplayed by Brunell. The results say so, regardless of why.

Well, if you know "why" the results were different, you have to factor in all of the reasons they were different as well.

We're not dealing in a vacuum here. There are plenty of variables that factor in.

To try to dismiss them just doesn't work.

No. It does. When evaluating who played better; the results are what matters.

If we are trying to predict next season, certainly, you'd have to include other factors in (such as the OL, etc).

Which is why I answered Bledsoe to 5Stars question...because I did account for that in my prediction.

OK, don't answer a simple question...that tells me all I need to know.

Carry on....

Do you want me to bold it for you?

Fine.

Think whatever you want.

Go to NFL.com and crunch your "numbers" and view them as the end-all, be-all.

That's your right.

We'll just look at the bigger picture.

Again, if I am predicting the future....

All I am saying is that Bledsoe was outperformed by Brunell. Not that Brunell is better....or that Brunell will be better next year....

But, like several of us have said, there were factors out of Bledsoe's control which heavily contributed to the final numbers.

They should certainly not be ignored.

Because its not an "amount" you can assign too.

Brunell had worse options at WR/TE to throw too, a better OL/RB...

How do you equate that into the mix. You can't assign a numerical value to take either into consideration. You can, certainly, take that all into consideration when making next year's predictions.

And all of that becomes more relevant in discussing who is better; which I am not arguing.

Skins fans like Merriman so much because they saw him play at the University of Maryland. So they're just pulling for the local kid.

and the fact that Dallas took Ware instead of Merriman doesn't play just as big a role?

Sorry.

But my criteria is different. You have to throw less than 17 INTs to be considered a non-bum (if you are a starting QB)

a bum is a QB who will never win a game for you, Bledsoe has

What matters are the results....not the "why's" or the "what-ifs."

and the results are Bledsoe had more attempts, more completions, a higher completion percentage, a higher ypa average than Brunell

Maybe it does for some, but some people are just more comfortable with what they're familiar with. It's human nature.

Brunell had less INTs, big whoop

Yeah, i mean, who cares about INTs?! Oh wait, that's right, everyone who has ever used a QB rating to indicate a passer's capabilities. In that case, an INT is actually a negative TD (for calculation purposes), so it's worth as much as a TD in those crazy people's eyes. So saying, oh, he threw less INTs is like saying, oh, he just threw more TDs, big whoop.
So, in addition to making better decisions with the football, he can also avoid the sack to buy more time (which Bledsoe has shown little ability to do) and even tuck the ball and create a big play himself. Give me the immobile QB behind the mediocre line to lead my team any day of the week!

Gramps say best not to tellings on your dreams lessin they might nots come for true but I cant not hold this one in no longer.

So hear goes.

{Dreamings begins up below this riting}

Had a dreamings last night that Cambells soup guy started week 2 again us and we blitzed him and knocked him silly speaking jibberish and shaking they had to drag him out in a potato sack to mental home then with a hush over the crowdings and Gibbs was youranating all over himself and Snyder was throwing up a gusher out the owners box spraying all over they fans and such sum. Then they brought Brunell in off a the bench only he was in a wheel chair and they put him behind center looking scared and sweating like and they hiked him up the ball and he's trying to wheel backwards with the ball in one hand and wheeling the chair with the other only the chair starts going around in circles like a roach does when you turn on the kichen lights at night real quick and they get scared and don't know what way to hide at then our whole defense gets set to jumps on him and I woken up with my bed all wet and the likes.

Wew!

{Dreamings ends hear}

Anways now I cant not wait for that first game against them to see if it comes up for truth.

Lets keep our fingers crossed up hoping we see this here happenings before long times pass.

I care about INTs, but if that's all someone did better than someone else, excuse me, not impressed

I noticed you didn't respond to my post stating that Bledsoe did better in more areas than Brunell...
