The way I see it, Jones wanted Callahan to call the offense last year, but Garrett never let go of the reins (despite what we were all led to believe). Jones still wants JG to give up the offense, but the two struck a compromise with Linehan. So we have a HC that the owner doesn't want to be in charge of the offense, and an assistant who was given the title of OC, then given playcalling (for a time), then had it taken away, and then was not allowed to interview for other OC positions. What's wrong with that? Sounds like a recipe for greatness if you ask me.

Because it doesn't matter. If Garrett has no say over the offense they'll hate him. If he has 50% control over the offense they'll hate him. If he has 100% control over the offense they'll hate him. And tell us about it in post after post.
