A couple of the guys that he outran in this video have run 4.5s. So, at the very least, when healthy, you could say he's a 4.5 speed guy, probably could break the 4.4s if healthy and had proper training.

Bowman was listed as having run a 4.48 at his campus workout before his senior season -- "4.48 in the 40-yard dash…315-pound bench press…425-pound squat…295-pound power clean…34-inch vertical jump…4.26 20-yard shuttle…33-inch arm length…9 ¼-inch hands."

And Rick Gosselin mentioned him as a possible first-round pick for us last September --

"From e-mail: Who are some of the college players we should keep an eye on this season as possible Cowboys selections with the Browns' No. 1 pick?

Rick Gosselin: Darren McFadden and Brian Brohm at quarterback. If it's a top-5 pick, I want a skilled offensive player. The Cowboys need to get younger on the flank, so keep an eye on Limas Sweed at Texas, Adarius Bowman at Oklahoma State and Early Doucet at LSU."

Hot damn. Through about 3/4 of the season this guy was considered a 1st round talent.

He had 1000+ yards and 17 YPC in his last two season. He caught over 60% of the passes targeted at him, so he can catch. The guy just had a terrible Senior Bowl week. I think it's absurd to let one week of practice wipe out two amazingly productive years in college.

Bowman's quote sounds like something we might hear from Terrell Owens.

Hey ticket got it right. I just checked and in 1990 the 1st WR taken was the 1st pick of the 2nd rd by Dallas Alexander Wright. Still extremely rare that no WR is taken in the 1st rd.

That draft was littered with busts too. I remember Fred Barnett had a few good years and that may be the draft that McCardell was taken in the last round.
