He's not nearly as fast as TO

TO wasnt as fast as TO when he originally came out either. Nor was he anywhere near as cut up as he is today.

If you've never seen it, watch his highlight film from college and then fast forward to what we see now. Its amazing the difference.

Romo doesn't force the ball to his favorite targets? You sure about that?

I hear ya... ALL QB's do it from time to time. Its natural for a QB to do that.

There are some photo's of TO with his shirt off when in San Fran and he was not cut like he is now(and when in Philly).... he said it himself... he was still eating McDonalds and stuff like that until he changed his training and eating lifestyle which didnt happen until a few years into his NFL life.

Yeah. Young T.O. was kind of lanky.

Not to the point where it excuses a 3rd receiver from having only 1 catch per game.

Maybe you're right, I'm not willing to state definitively that Hurd is a quality receiver, but he sure seems to have some good hands. He's young and a good team guy, and he enjoys playing special teams. I think that's enough to keep him on the roster.

Has this been confirmed? Is there a link? I read somewhere else that Philly signed him.

Yeah, I'd like confirmation, too. I hope this isn't a false alarm. They did definitely report it -- twice -- but I hope they didn't get some bad info.

I'll try to find it, I saw in on TV either Thursday or Friday during one of those draft shows...it was a pretty dramatic difference

Its going to be tough for him to make the team.

Knocking off Sam Hurd is going to be tough because Hurd is such a phenominal Special teams player.

Miles Austin is gone either way and I think we will carry less receivers this year and more Corners.

Owens

Glenn

Crayton

Hurd

Stanback

Good luck breaking in to that line up.

i dont think that lineup is for sure a concrete thing. I for one, unless Stanback shows something this offseason, havent been impressed at all, also you gotta wonder about Glenn's health, is he capable for another season, and who's to say we dont bring some kind of FA after june 1st. Miles Austin might not have a job as KR anymore with Felix Jones on board. so i can see 2 or 3 players switched out before its all said and done.

If the cowboys think he is any good then he will make the team. Its as simple as that.I think he will make it and austin will be cut.

You haven't been impressed with what you've seen of Stanback which is hardly anything? Luckily the coaches and scouts that have seen him have been impressed.

Has this been confirmed? Or is this rumor?

It was reported along with several other OU and OSU FA signings, but I hope they got it right.

Maybe a mod should change the title -- I can't do it anymore.

If Austin has "any" potential or if they see "anything" where he may help this year WR position then you dont let him go.

If anything... Glenn should be gone.

Big Blue Interactive lists him with the Eagles

Philadelphia Eagles - OT Franklin Dunbar, WR Adarius Bowman, WR Terrell Golden

lol, so much for that.

I can see why he'd prefer the Eagles, much better chance of making that roster.

Oh, well then, Bowman sucks. I see why he wasn't drafted. Good luck with that one Philly. The few times McNabb throws instead of running will just get dropped and Bowman won't even help much blocking when McNabb does run. At least he'll get along with Reid's sons.

Oklahoma State WR Adarius Bowman will have to continue to overcome adversity as he enters the 2008 NFL Draft.
Adarius Bowman looked to have it all entering the University of North Carolina in 2003. The former Tennessee prep star entered UNC as the one of the top recruits in the country after twice earning “Mr. Football” honors and scoring a TD at the Army High School All American Game.

Bowman played as a true freshman at UNC and looked every bit the star he was supposed to be. But the prep star was charged with possession of marijuana in October 2004 and dismissed from the team. Those charges were dropped, but not before Bowman had to suffer the unfortunate consequences.

“That experience helped me turn from a young boy into a man” Bowman said and after transferring to Oklahoma State, the dream was back on. In his first season as a Cowboy in 2006, he put up one of the greatest games ever seen by a collegiate wideout with a 13 catch, 300 yard, and 4 touchdown game against Kansas. He finished the season with over 1,180 yards and 12 touchdowns and was marked as one to watch entering the 2007 season. Bowman credits Oklahoma State with welcoming him.

“I am glad I was given a second chance and Stillwater, Oklahoma showed me nothing but a great time from the minute I stepped on campus.”

Even more incredibly, Bowman accomplished all that with 20/900 vision – legally blind. He had LASIK eye surgery prior to the 2007 season to improve his eyesight. Bowman and the Cowboys were hyped as one of the best offenses in college football entering the 2007 season but turmoil at the QB position and a wicked schedule relegated Oklahoma State to the Insight Bowl where Bowman caught a touchdown in the victory.

Still, Bowman’s second straight 1,000 yard season and 6’4, 220 lb frame had scouts excited. He was selected for the 2008 Senior Bowl, but the whispers started after a lackluster first day of practice.

“The first day, I had trouble bringing the ball in, with the different pace and working with different quarterbacks” Bowman explained and he stepped it up through the week, but the stigma was there.

Bowman had another round of LASIK surgery after the Senior Bowl and was not scheduled to participate at the 2008 Scouting Combine.

However, Bowman, caught up in the moment, did run and posted a lackluster 4.74 forty time. That performance caused the media perception of Bowman to drop to a new low and focused more attention on his Pro Day.

“It was a chance to run routes and catch the balls in front of the NFL Coaches” Bowman stated as he was able to show the skills that served him in the past. Still, Bowman could not improve his forty yard dash time at the Pro Day, but he says that doesn’t worry him. “Some guys have better field speed than forty speed” Bowman reasoned.

Several receivers in recent years, including Brandon Marshall and Marques Colston, have been criticized for slow forty times or been called a tweener but gone on to success in the NFL.

Bowman says no NFL team has asked him about a potential move to TE or H-back. “I haven’t been approached about that” Bowman said but explained “If that’s what they want me to do when it comes down to it, we can talk about it, but I really have a lot of interest in being a wide out”.

Bowman put the question about his forty time to rest by saying “You never really run a straight forty yards on a football field anytime”/

From a storied prep career, Bowman suffered the roller coaster ride of being dismissed from UNC then setting Oklahoma State on fire before a somewhat disappointing 2007 season and questions about his ability at the next level.

Time will tell if Bowman can overcome yet another obstacle on his way to his NFL dream.
