Rumor: Shaneil Jenkins has knee injury

We can go around as long as you like. Still doesn't change the fact that The Cardinals let their sack leader walk in favor of trading for another guy, all while they were in the bottom third in sacks last year. They are not a stacked pass rushing team, they simply didn't think Freeney was worth keeping.

The other guy they traded for was a younger better player who has proven his skills in the NFL.

So tell me, who did the Cowboys bring in that is similar?

I'm not making anyone sound lesser. I'm stating the simple fact that Freeney was near retirement till Atlanta, the worst pass rush team in the league, called him.

Which isn't a "fact" at all, as he was taking multiple visits.

Dallas wasn't alone in passing on Freeney, so maybe it's worth considering that they considered the move and passed for football reasons that actually make sense and there aren't a bunch of idiots sitting in meeting rooms around the league that have no idea what a prize Freeney is.

Not based on their recent track record it isn't. Their moves give people every right to question them. They were and have been among the worst pass rushing teams in the league, and yet they passed on a guy who would have led their team in sacks after okaying less than a full season. Decisions like that deserve to be questioned, especially after the candidates you did choose aren't there for you.

Having concerns are more than fair, DE is the most questionable position on the team, especially when Lawrenece isn't available. I just think people are ignoring the upside of the pass rush when they are questioning it.

Because they can't see the upside. Especially not when most of the guys that fans are pointing to aren't available to provide that "upside".

Also lets not freak out over training camp injuries. The only ones that seem like a regular season issue is the vague seriousness surrounding Jenkins, and the lack of reps for Tapper.

Isn't that enough? In a group full of unknowns, unproven so, and rookies, every bit of bad news is really bad news. At this point, there aren't even enough bodies.

Ware was cut, he wasn't a FA.

I said nothing about organizational decisions always being correct.

Difference is when Ware was cut, he could have found another job in minutes. Freeney almost retired, so we're not just talking about a Cardinals decision.

It was absolutely an organizational decision not to keep either Ware or Freeney based on future production (age/injuries). Both organizations were banking on youth and willing to sacrifice early production on their investment.

All 7 pages and soon to be 8 are based on a single rumor from one source. I haven't seen this pop up anywhere else. This has actually given me some optimism.

If Jenkins plays tonight I think Fisher should be roasted at the stake.

For what it's worth, Broaddus reported the same thing about the possible knee issue.

The Cowboys website listed him as not practicing, but they said hamstring.

Last year, Parsons of the Mavericks, had what they thought was a hamstring injury, but come to find out it was a torn meniscus. The two injuries are close together so a lot of times the pain radiates to the hammy making you think that's what it is.

Just thought I would pass that along from what I heard.

If the Cowboys didn't have bad luck, they'd have no luck at all.

For sure, and I wouldn't rule out a ligamentous injury either.

Sure, alright.

Not that I saw. Someone asked him the question and he confirmed it and was going to try to confirm the issue. That's all I saw.

It would just seem to me with all the reporters covering the Cowboys that this question would have been addressed formally.. It seems more like insider information but yet we are talking about on the Zone.

I know, I know, we are ahead of the curve.
