I'm willing to bet there are at least 52 players on the roster that want a new contract. Who does not want more money?

Ellis doesn't count. He wants more money while signing a contract! :laugh2:

Yep.

And how does everyone think he is going to feel if we were to bring in a bernard berian or trade for roy williams..(which I think will never happen)

I am sure owens would love roy williams and his contract taking catches away from him.

Owens psyche is fragile, hopefully none of this is true, because once he is upset it is over. He is the all time biggest pouter.

Huh? Wasn't it reported how Owens kept text messaging Terry Glenn on coming back to the field ASAP?

Thats owens with a deal.

Owens without a deal is different.

With a deal and alot of balls thrown his way he has been fine in 2007.

With only one year on his deal and a younger premier wr across from him in player x....owens is not a happy camper.

hopefully he is not actually complaining.

TO has always said he likes his contract, but I wouldn't be averse to extending it. He's earned it.

I can't believe I'm saying that.

:laugh2: ... I'm with you , Hostile, I NEVER thought I'd be a supporter of T.O. and, like you've said, he's actually EARNED another year or so on his deal!

but what kind of deal a year to year deal or an actual contract. plus randy moss will be getting a contract. that should be the high water mark for TO.

On the basis of "risk vs. reward" - so far Jerry Jones is looking like a genius on the TO call. Put that in your pipe Parcells.

All those still saying "see - I told you" based on "Niners' Owens" or "Eagles' Owens" - really haven't been paying much attention now, have they?

He's arguable both the best WR in the game or player on our team. And, almost importantly, he's been a solid teammate and Dallas Cowboy.

Why don't we all wait until something more reputable than an Eagles board puts out the information before going over the cliff. TO has earned a new deal IMO as long as he's not seeking something that's going to handcuff the teams long term future then I say Jerry should extend him.

Exactly.

I'll believe it when Owens says it. If he wants a bigger contract, he won't be afraid to say so.

Actually TO said many weeks ago that he would like a new contract cause he wants to retire as a Cowboy. As you may recall, it's not unusual for the Cowboys to re-sign/extend a player's contract the offseason/preseason before the contract ends. I fully expect Jerry to take care of TO cause there's no way we want him to be unhappy in 08. BTW: Most players don't like to play the last year of their contract w/o a sign their team intends to re-sign him. Only players like Romo would take that kind of chance; of course he did take out insurance that would pay him $30M if his little pinkie even got hurt just a wee little bit.

Exactly-if anything, I'm sure there are Eagles fans who post crap like this over there...knowing that Dallas fans lurk there and stuff like this will only get under their skin.(Even tr1 @ ES admits most of the Dallas waste he posts there is to do just that...get under our skin)

Pay the man, he is the best player on the team and the best WR in the legue period.

I wouldn't completely discount that TO wants a new deal, considering he only has 1 year left on his original

Well, we are entering the last year of his contract, so of course he wants a new one. He'll likely get an extension some time before next off-season.
