Rumor: We Will Be Wearing Blue Uni's At Home

With the new stadium coming up who knows what Jerry Jones has in mind? I love the blue unis. I just think the helmet should match the silver of the pants. And the home pants should go back to metallic silver blue instead of the slightly different color they are now.

This would be a huge story for the media to jump all over given Cowboys fans fears of the superstition. The very fact that they haven't jumped all over it should tell you that there is nothing at all to this rumor.

The tradition of wearing the white jerseys at home will NEVER be broken, not even by JJ!! Thanksgiving and one other home BIG game wil be the time when the throwback jersey is worn.

we arent talking about the throwback jerseys, just the plain blue.

They just don't look like the Cowboys when they wear blue. Hell, even Tex knew the throwbacks looked outdated in the mid-1960s, so why are we wearing them now? Time for the nostalgia kick to end.

And what's with the Boston Celtics' plain green 'n white? Yuck! Let's add some zing to that one, too!
Actually, The Celtics have a newer version that adds black trim to their "plain green & white" road jersey (they use it as an alternate 3rd jersey)!

I understand why most want to keep the home whites on the field-it's tradition-but I think the blues are a better looking jersey. Maybe the can "tweak" the whites w/ navy blue numbers and silver pants that actually match the helmets! Hey, they could wear polka dots for all I care as long as they're winning!!!

The blue jersey are not throwbacks. The Cowboys have worn them since the 80s. They are the official blue jersey and at this point, you have to call them the traditional blues. Now what they wear on Thanksgiving is a throwback and I don't mind that once a year.

I don't mind the current road blues, even though they're getting a little stale. That said, blue should never be worn at home, throwbacks or not.

Did someone see Felix Jones photo in the other thread and think, "we're wearing blue at home this year"?

Didnt we wear Blue at home before Tex thought of changing it? After what are now called throwback(white helmet blue star) didnt we wear blue?

I dont know... I am asking...

If we did.. then I wouldnt mind doing it once this year.... a fairwell of sorts to the old stadium... "return to blue"

personally i hope its true, while im fond of the white jersey, i hate the pants that go with them, and the color of the numbers are off from the trim on the helmut and pants.

I don't really want to say that this sounds gay, but ......

The other teams in the league could get annoyed at us and mandate the colored jersey as the home and the white as the away with no exceptions.

Why would they be annoyed?
