We need more T Choice. He's clearly the best RB on our team.

I don't know about the best, he is good back no doubt, but clearly best?? I think he is 3rd on the depth chart for a reason.

Each of our backs offers something unique and different.

For the record, I'm not dissing Garrett either.
Then why call him out in the thread title as if he doesn't have any idea what he is doing?

Because he wasn't drafted high ?

He was drafted in the exact same round as Barber. Think before you ask stuff.

I keep hearing about Miles Austin, Roy Williams et al. But we need to control the clock against Seattle. I want to see us running the ball more. We were great in the passing game against Atlanta, and we needed to be. However, for this game I think we need to utilize our three-headed monster and pound the Seattle defense with our running game. I'd like to see 65% running plays.

With Austin having so much success, defenses aren't going to key up too much on the running game so that's where I think we need to focus. If we can get the chains moving by running the ball successfully, I think we can beat Seattle and improve to a 5-2 record.

Thoughts?
Seattle to date has actually been pretty strong against the run; on the other hand, with Austin's last two performances, they will likely focus on taking him out of our play book. I expect Garrett to continue to take what ever the defense gives.

I don't put much stock into draft order. I personally think that Barber and Jones offer more than Choice. Don't get me wrong, I think choice is a great back, and if you said he is clearly the best all-around back then i could see your argument, but I like the ferocity of Barber, and the home run ability of Jones. Choice is an excellent supplement to the other two and we should enjoy all three while we can.

I know someone would say this however, Barber is A a veteran B was a back up before JJ who was drafted higher parted via the way of FA. So draft status matters and years on the team also matter. But nice try HoS maybe next time?

Just because you don't put much stock into doesn't mean they don't. What do either back offer that Choice doesn't have ? Choice is able to offer something that neither of them can offer.

My bad, I wasn't aware that you had the inside slant on how the organization feels about draft order. I guess that's why we see Carpenter in on every play, because of his draft order. Must be why they chose Jenkins over Scandrick as well, they just decided he was a first round pick and therefore had to start.

Your reply looked like a question to me which I why I answered it the way that I did. I believe I already pointed out what I liked about both Barber and Jones, but I still haven't seen anything from you explaining what Choice offers that Jones and Barber do not. Aside from his youtube show, I don't see him as a better option to the combination of Barber/Jones.

Hopefully JG will take what the defense is giving us. Atlanta focused on stopping the run, so we beat them through the air.

Pick your poison.

If I were a DC I think I would focus on taking away the big play and make Dallas beat me by having to drive the ball down the field over many plays.

I would figure either Dallas would have an offensive penalty to set them back, Romo would make a mistake or JG would get impatient and force the issue.

It takes great patience to run the ball, dink and dunk passes down the field, move the sticks.

I would lot let MA hit me for the big plays.

I can't believe you're seriously pushing this.

Bobby Carpenter (round 1) starts over Bradie James (round 4) huh?

Doug Free (round 4) starts over Kyle Kosier (round 7) huh?

Martellus Bennett (round 2) starts over Jason Witten (round 3) huh?

Patrick Crayton (round 7) starts over Miles Austin (undrafted) huh?

Stephen McGee (4th round) starts over Tony Romo (undrafted) huh?

Mike Hamlin (4th round) starts over Gerald Sensabaugh (5th round) huh?

Care to try again? With a relevant thought this time?

You have to be able to run but in the NFL, you win by the pass, no ifs ands or buts about it.

When Tony is throwing well, we win regardless of how well we run the ball.

You know, this is almost impossible to argue with the regards to the Cowboys. We win when Romo is on. We lose when he's not.

If we can run the ball successfully, .. Tony will be throwing the ball well.

Funny how that works.

I think the same thing can be said for alot of teams,I heard a stat from a few weeks ago that showed that teams that had passed for atleast 300yds were something like 21-8 in their games.Ofcoarse when the inclement weather hits those numbers could change drastically in the other direction.
