All that wait and things are the same!! Cheers to Rush!
As it should be.

Jerry loved Quincy Carter too.Jerry loves Lance.
they don’t care,
Lance has shown nothing NOTHING that proves he should be backing up any QB in the league. Rush, at the very least, has shown he can manage games.Lance should be the #2 on game day with Rush as the emergency QB. Lance is very atheltic and there are things they can do with him. Now if Dak is out for a game or two, then yes, at this point, Rush probably gives you the best chance at a W. To have Lance on the 53 and not use him in some capacity is silly.
Rush is indeed the safer bet as QB, but his game manager motto is based upon 1 year that he went 4-1 against a league that wasn't able to game plan for him. Lance has NOT shown nothing, he has shown some limited ability in the pre-season. We do not live in Jerry's head to know if he thinks Lance is a better long-term bet, and for the team's sake we better hope Dak doesn't go down for a lengthy period because neither QB will be successful over a longer period that just a few weeksLance has shown nothing NOTHING that proves he should be backing up any QB in the league. He has shown he can't read the field, makes poor reads, sticks to one receiver, etc.Rush is indeed the safer bet as QB, but his game manager motto is based upon 1 year that he went 4-1 against a league that wasn't able to game plan for him. Kudos to our leadership team of Stephen and Jerry things that make sense don't usually happen with this team. They'll realize the mistake they made and will trade for a RB during the seasonI could be wrong but wouldn’t back up QB be a game to game decision or is the 4th round pick simply not playing or backing up Dak for the foreseeable future. If so and he’s a FA next yr he’s basically been beat out by an UDFA from a small college and good luck getting on the field .
Then I go back to my original thought when the trade was made . Why ? Too much price . A RB with juice in this draft would have been beautiful . 3rd string QB’s litter the landscape . 7 teams took a RB round 4 in 2024 the Eagles one of them . Fehoko was a 4th rounder in the past .
Is this the Cowboys garbage time on the clock round , sure hope not .
I hope “ back up QB “ is game to game and Lance suits up . The Giants game comes to mind . Strong edge rushers seems suited to Lances escapes if he was needed or as a red zone wildcat option
Yeah, if Cooper Rush embarrasses you, you’re not an NFL QB.Second straight year Lance couldn’t even win a backup job and he was given every opportunity this summer. Anyone who thinks he’s the Cowboys future starting QB better put down the bottle. If we ever get down to him having to be our starter, we’re in deep trouble.
If he does then something bad happened to you know who, OR this offense is revolving into something more creative!!!!!!!At some point in 2024 I am certain he gets on the field somehow
I wouldn’t go as far as to say Cooper Rush embarrassed him, but he outperformed him. He was more steady and we’ve won games with him.Yeah, if Cooper Rush embarrasses you, you’re not an NFL QB.

okay, whatever. I get it, he hasn't looked good but he is a project for a reason and if you expected him to be game ready at the onset, than that is on you. I have no time to argue with anybody who wants to cut him based on the small body of work, and if Jerry decides to so be it. Be rest assured that if he is cut there will be plenty of teams lining up to take more than a training camp of scrubs to further his developent. He has shown he can't read the field, makes poor reads, sticks to one receiver, etc.
Rush is 5-1 and that is far more than what Lance has done. Lance needed to earn even being on a depth chart. He didn't earn that. Any owner with some smarts would have cut him. He sucks and isn't built for the NFL.
