I've can't remember anything like this happening. I'm a Maryland Alumni, and was still really young when Bias died. But that was different.

I mean, what can I do? Take my Taylor jersey to work and hang it outside my office?

I know its just a game. But, how do players put it all together and play in 6 days?

I'd think the closest thing in American sports would be the death of Thurmon Munson. Bias and former DROY Don Rogers a week later, were both offseason so it just seems different when there's time between the death and a game when that player isn't there.

A real tragedy! My heart felt condolences to his family, the Commander Nation, and the NFL.

I am proud of all of you who have posted your kind thoughts, because bottom line we are all God's children first.

I remember Bias death to this day. Where I was, probably because I was on vacation and I was a Maryland fan and a Celtic fan.

I guess kind of the same feeling for Commander fans except for the fact that Bias brought his own fate on himself.

This is more like the Denver DB 1-2 years ago.

Wow. I remember thinking last night that he would recover and next thing you know he is being a big pain in the Cowboys butt next year by applying the big hits and well timed INTs.

To wake up this morning and find out he had died was just terrible. I thought everything would be ok deep down inside. Very sad.

There are lot of things more important here than football and I do not mean to be insensititve at all, but man I feel sorry for the Commander players and Commander fans knowing they have to play a game on Sunday.

I can not imagine having to prepare to do something so physical when that is no doubt the last thing on their mind.

What about Hank Gathers at Loyola Marymount? He collapsed on the court during the conference tournament and died later that evening at the hospital. The team had to continue playing and then prepare for the NCAA tournament.

It is an unfortunate tragedy.

that hasn't already been said. I feel so horrible for his little girl and his girlfriend. God bless them both. (I've seen reports that his home was burglarized 8 days ago: is that true? If so, I'd say the police will get this scumbag)

That's another good example. Remember Bo Kimble shooting left-handed free throws?

So sad, so very sad. I hope every one gives their own kids an extra hug tonight and be thankful for what they have. My thoughts and good wishes go to the Taylor family and to his football family in Washington.

RIP Sean.

I guess I must have been under a rock today since I just found out. Wow. As soon as I read about Seans passing, my heart sank. I'm sitting here at my desk, numb. :(

I was really pulling for him, and encouraged by news that he was responsive, and seemed to be improving. Then this. :(

My prayers go out to his family, friends, and to the Commanders players, and fans. This Cowboys fan mourns with you. :(
