And you're right. It absolutely is. And that's why the 'Zeke bandwagon' avoids the facts of the situation like the plague. Because they're terrible.

The team previously stated that paying the NFL's leading rusher to keep him higher than they were comfortable paying at the position.

They followed that up by saying the same thing when Lamar Miller wanted to come to Dallas and play for 'his Cowboys'.

But now they're going to follow up that financial responsibility by making a rookie running back the Top 10 highest paid at his position?

Asinine. Undoing everything you've previously done, blowing up your own established financial constraints for the position, and essentially telling the world 'we have no plan and just make it up as we go along'.

You've built an offensive line that has made two different running backs over the last two years. One, a 3rd round draft pick, and the other a left-for-dead retread who had one foot out of the league.

And yet, somehow, even after McFadden becomes the #4 running back in the league (with no Romo or Bryant!), and Alfred Morris is added, some people still think you need to use the #4 overall draft pick on the position?

The Madden Football generation at its' finest.

yup and its more than that Morris not good on 3rd down so who gonna rely on McFadden how about Dunbar both careers are injury prone good luck with that

Im all on the Zeke train been on it and its not just a running back its and elite type of running back yuou the one where room can actually habd the ball off and theres a legitimate chance he can score anytime he touches the ball so yea that changes the game so guess what maybe Romo can stay up right

you saw him lead his team to a national championship with a 3rd string qb what you think he'll do with Romo and Dez and the best Oline

when he touches the ball good things tend to happen a lot and can get a championship from it and Madden has nothing to do with it .....nothing at all

It comes down to if Zeke is the next Adrian Peterson

If he is, taking him in the top 5 is OK

Obviously this is where you have to trust your scouts and if they say he is AP 2.0, you take him

Yeah without question.

I just doubt, very seriously, he's anything close to AP. In fact I'd be shocked if he has a career half as good as AP has had.

Neither does big picture thinking, draft value, responsible spending, or common sense.

Some people want to just throw that all out the window to get 'their guy'. Logic be damned.

the thing is I get it I get your logic as well but I think this too Zeke could lead the league in rushing as a rookie and if that means Romo is still playing in jan feb then that means we are winning games so overall it helps because room is still on the field

but im not mad at the Ramsey 1st rd Henry 2nd I wouldn't be mad at that at all

To those who think Elliott has the potential to be as good as Peterson, why aren't the top teams taking him instead of the mediocre Goff and Wentz? If Elliott were actually half as good as those here pimping him, Philly would be drafting him at #2 or SD would be cutting the cord on Gordon and going with Elliott. Sorry, but Elliott is just another RB who played on a ridiculously talented Ohio State team and ran roughshod over inferior, wimpy Big Ten teams for the most part.

This.
Resulting in a different draft board for all 32 teams...like it is every year.

It's reflected even in the general analysts rankings....though I do almost none have Elliott high enough to go 4th overall. Some do though.

I thought they gushed more about Ramsey then him. JG and Jerry lit up talking about him. Remember Jerry talking about him getting suspended a game for playing too hard in practice? Then the story about how we need more Dez players in practice, etc?

Yeah, They were all about Ramsey.. I took at as No to Zeke @4

Brugler said there's talk that SD is trying to get JAX to jump us to take Ramsey. They want Buckner and know we won't take him, he'll be there at 5.

This is what I was talking about. If Ramsey goes to a desperate squad at 3, Zeke will be a Cowboy. They're not incredibly impressed with Bosa. I'm not either.

Reading some of the Chargers fans forums, most want Ramsey at #3 but would rather trade back to 5/6 and pickup Buckner.

Lot of Charger fans think Baltimore is very interested in moving up to #3 for Ramsey....trying to get ahead of Dallas.

If Baltimore really wants him, a 4th should do it. Chargers would still have option of Tunsil/Buckner. Think Dallas would take Zeke, Jax takes either Jack, Floyd or Bosa.

Just want the Chargers to do the right thing and draft Tunsil.. Rivers deserves a talented OT to help keep him off his back

Can't front Baltimore makes me nervous moving up to that #3 pick

Haven't seen anything about who Baltimore prefers, but they could use an LT also.

Agreed, I actually was referring to BigDog24's post while I was typing. I just didn't quote it. I don't know what Baltimore's game plan is neither but I do know Ozzie love athletes from big time college programs. So them moving up to potentially grab another Ed Reed 2.0 could really breathe life into that organization.

Not saying Ramsey is the next Ed Reed, but also not saying he doesn't have the potential to be as well.
