its really pretty easy, if Romo plays and severely injures himself, the team will be stuck with Romo and his salary next year. They can't trade him, and they can't cut an injured player. Not worth the risk in a meaningless game. Hopefully they won't have to use him the rest of the way and avoid this risk.
His 14m isn't guaranteed and DAL can get insurance for his contract if they don't have it already

If he suffers a severe injury and misses time DAL gets the insurance money and the cap space back

Tom Brady never gets hurt and is 39......Romo can adjust to avoid the big hits....he isn't made of glass..... he just had some fluke injuries

I would get him some reps in the second half

Dak still needs reps, and Romo makes it less risky to get those for him

Agenda. Nothing more.

Anyone advocating putting the team's starting quarterback at risk while protecting the backup quarterback is either clueless or pushing an agenda.

Romo could only dream to have been as successful as that "butt fumbler" has been in the playoffs.

Just to piggybackoff your post: Joe Flacco and Mark Sanchez are the only 2 QBs in NFL history to win 2 playoff games as a rookie.
