But apparently Vintage understood exactly what I was saying:lmao: making your statement a moot point.

You comprehended it wrong, Vintage got you on track:p:

My feelings are hurt:lmao2: Sorry I don't easily get offended..... like some do:)
You don't? I was under the assumption that harleys and sig pics offend you.

Why would my feelings be hurt? My stance wasn't disproven.

I should care that Vintage "got it?" Too bad, I don't.

They don't.

Those who have been posting (with you) long enough know you've rode a Harley.

Maybe it's our age difference because when I state for example
"Hos those harley fumes must be messing with your thinking".......when we disagree, I am exaggerating the cause while also trying to interject slight humour.

Apparently you think I am offend by Harleys:lmao2:. My Ducati might have something to say about that.

As for the signature....I was never offended by the number of signatures (of Henson along side proven great Cowboy QBs) that popped up after Henson's signing in 2004.

I just thought they were dumb. He hadn't broken wind at Valley ranch yet some fans felt compelled to draw a comparison.

What is your stance anyway?:lmao2:

Did anyone try to disprove it?

Vintage did. I agreed with his interpretation.

So, now that you know you didn't get it, don't you feel dumb for arguing against a stance you didn't even understand by your own admission.

I get the joke. But there is a very small pool of WRs that have been great and had serious off field issues.

You're on this board too much.:)

I'm sure all teams knew about it. If a guy at home can read about it on the 'net, I'm sure teams had to know. It's amazing what you can stumble across.

I knew that Maurice Drew was going to be trouble (witness the Denny's incident with Manning) before the draft and even commented about it on the mock draft thread. A person who claims to be a close friend of his posted a picture of Drew sleeping while the poster sat next to him with an illegal drug in his hand on a fairly popular draft forum. Just hanging out with someone so stupid as to jeopardize your draft status and hundreds of thousands of dollars shows remarkably poor decision making.

I wasn't sold on Santonia Holmes going into the draft and was pleased that the Cowboys decided to go in another direction.

Now I'm even more pleased the Cowboys didn't draft him.

His arrests obviousy raise concerns about the guy's common sense and stability.

There are players who make it big despite these issues. But there are others who underachieve or fail because of them.

I have wondered for a long time if you are offended by Harleys. You bring it up constantly. Now that I know you ride a Ducati, I think I won't make an "issue" of it. Nice bikes BTW. Which model?

Yet you had signatures of Heath Miller. Has he broken wind at Valley Ranch yet Charles? Hello hypocrisy.

People get excited about prospects. Period. There's nothing deviant or illegal about that. The part of an outside conscience was played by an animated grasshopper.

I noticed you didn't denounce any of the Manny Lawson or Bobby Carpenter signatures. Do you not see how singling out one player to take notice of makes you look like you've got an agenda? Seriously?

Come on man, you're smarter than that and I know it. Step outside your skin for a minute and look at you through your own critical analyses of other people. Can you be honest enough to do that?

Legs apart, one hand on the ground. The Fullback stance.

I said essentially that having off field issues does not mean you will absolutely be a great WR. In other words the exact opposite of your math equation to start that post.

I dunno. Don't really care. The fact is there are great NFL WRs who do not have off the field issues and having off the field issues doesn't make a WR great.

No. It's a dumb stance regardless of the intent of "humor" that I still don't see. I've read it a couple of times. Just doesn't seem that funny to me. But hey, I didn't think Andrew Dice Clay was funny either and people laughed.

Yeah I seem to remember making signatures with Heath Miller side by side Winslow Sr, Jackie Smith and Ozzie Newsome.

There's a big difference.

You compared Henson to HOF QBs in Troy and Staubach before he even broke a sweat.

I touted Heath Miller as a very good TE prospect and thought he'd be a good fit for our offense.

I was right on both accounts. he's performed admirably for the 2005 Champions and it appears I was ahead of curve in wanting a more versatile TE in Miller over Campbell..........a year prior to the drafting of Fasano.

As for the Henson comparison..........he so well spoken:)

I didn't see any Bobby Carpenter or Manny Lawson pics next to a Lawrence Taylor, Huff, Nitschke or Singletary. I didn't that dumb level of excited.

I saw many posters evalaute Carpenters and Manny skills on the collegiate level and how they might be a good fit on out defense.

I didn't see anyone create a signature with either guy beside Chuch Howley or Hollywood Henderson (guys not in HOF). I would have called it dumb too.

I thought it was dumb period. I would have thought the same if Some poster did it with Julius, but atleast to this point Julius has shown flashes of greatness..........as for Henson.................

I am smart. Thank you

Vintage didn't agree with me.

He basically understood the point I was trying to get across........"isn't it eery how most talented WRs are bad boys or idiots off-field"....notice the exaggeration.........then I went on to bestow my ROY vote to Holmes.........slight humour:)

It's never been wrong and who exactly opined that it might be? I didn't. If you think stating that most talented WRs tend to be bad boys or off-field idiots equates to condoning the poor character then you have a comprenhension problem.

Marvin harrison, torry Holt, Chris Chambers, Issica BRuce, Steve SMith, Terry Glenn, Dude your claim is rendered pointless, there are more great WR's that dont have issues of the field. Just because you have a handful doesnt mean most are. PLease get your facts straight, cause that was just of the top of my head, not even includin reasurch

Maybe the NFL should go in a different direction............

Ditch NFLE and start looking into "yard teams." They could see if Sean Taylor, Pacman Jones, Chris Henry, Onterrio "Whizzinator" Smith and Santonio Holmes could all get into the same prison. If they're lucky they can get Lawrence Phillips to come out of exile, Todd Marinovich to QB and get Adam Sandler as a coach along with Timmy Smith and Dexter Manley :D

Since when did it become wrong to aspire to high character and elite talent on a football team?

p.s. I don't find your post even a bit humorous and the exaggeration is pretty dumb.

It was an exaggeration. :lmao2:

It just seems that most talented WR are bad boys.

I dont know how much of an exaggeration there is Charles. Pacmans caddy is picked up in a drug sting by the Feds, Henry's been arrested what 4 times in 6 moths, Taylor "should" have done some time per Floridas new no nonsense gun laws, Holmes arrested twice since the draft, granted the first one a a BS haul thats being looked into and some in FL are calling it racially motivated. Phillips and MArrinovich were arrested how many times? Onterrios Smith gets the ban for failed drug tests. Timmy Smith on his way to prison, Manley out of prison. The quality of the games couldnt be any worse the the NFLE games

No, there really isn't. But if it helps you justify it, go ahead. It was just a picture made by someone else.

You compared Henson to HOF QBs in Troy and Staubach before he even broke a sweat.
Uh, no I didn't.

I touted Heath Miller as a very good TE prospect and thought he'd be a good fit for our offense.
And I touted Henson as a potentially good QB. No difference.

I was right on both accounts. he's performed admirably for the 2005 Champions and it appears I was ahead of curve in wanting a more versatile TE in Miller over Campbell..........a year prior to the drafting of Fasano.

Too early on both players IMO, but by all means beat your chest.

I didn't see any Bobby Carpenter or Manny Lawson pics next to a Lawrence Taylor, Huff, Nitschke or Singletary. I didn't that dumb level of excited.

Oh brother. I had to ask. Spin control, meet your maker.

I thought it was dumb period. I would have thought the same if Some poster did it with Julius, but atleast to this point Julius has shown flashes of greatness..........as for Henson.................
Actually you just proved my point. There were videos touting Julius as the next in line of great Cowboys RBs and you never bring that up. Your focus is Henson and no one else. Not one other player on the team. Agenda.

I am smart. Thank you
No charge for the gratuity.

That was you interpretation of the post. Vintage and Skinsterp comprehended my post the way intended it to be understood
You asked me for my stance. In other words my interpretation. Did you ask just to once again compare them to other people? I said I don't care that they "got it." I meant it. I don't.

I responded to a stupid assertion. That hasn't changed.

As point out to you by Vintage my math equation:) /post wasn't meant to be an "absolute" one way or the other.
For the 3rd time, I don't care about his getting it. If you need him as a crutch or a feather in the cap fine, but I don't care.

well duh!!!

If you got a clue that I was being humorous and exaggerating you wouldn't be preaching to the choir.
You're in a choir? Ever try out for American Idol? Is your real name William Hung?

Vintage didn't agree with me.

He basically understood the point I was trying to get across........"isn't it eery how most talented WRs are bad boys or idiots off-field"....notice the exaggeration.........then I went on to bestow my ROY vote to Holmes.........slight humour:)
Whatever, don't quit your day job. It isn't funny. Sorry. JMO.

On top of not being funny it wasn't accurate and I focused on that. So did another poster, but I don't need him to substantiate my own opinions. No crutches, no feathers for caps.

Your entitled to your opinion. I thought the Henson collages were dumb, you think my attempt at exaggeration and humour are dumb. Thats cool. I've been known to be dumb once in a while, never perfect nor caught up with the idea of trying to be the smartest football guy on the internet:lmao:
Who's trying to be the smartest guy on the Internet? I know you don't mean me because I've mentioned the posters (notice plural) I think are smart many times over the years, and I've never claimed to be the smartest guy here.

I'm not ignorant by any wild stretch, but I have dumb moments like everyone does.
