The boys usually do a good job as regards checking a player out as regards medical issues. People can point to Jaylon Smith but he did last a number of years in the NFL and made the pro bowl once so you really cannot say they blew that call. Even so it was close. So unlike uneducated fans in Indy and here I am willing to trust the docs if they say he can still play at a high level

Hell, I'd sign them both.......and make a long-term decision after the season. They both could be good insurance for the post-season
No chance Ertz signs with the Cowboys. He’d rather retire. He hates the Cowboys.

I doubt he would play next week. He'd have all of a couple of practices in a new defense.
Being that he can from playing in a Gus Bradley defense, the learning curve shouldn't be too steep. The schemes are very similar.

Two key free-agent decisions loom for two decorated players. Both former Colts’ LB Shaquille Leonard and former Cardinals TE Zach Ertz are free agents, and both are likely to have new homes in the next 48 or so hours, per sources. Leonard is considering the Cowboys and Eagles, per sources, and whoever doesn’t get him might have to face him next Sunday with Philadelphia playing at Dallas. As for Ertz, the Chiefs, Bills, Ravens and Eagles each have expressed varying forms of interest in the tight end.

Watching Indianapolis play you wonder how bad Leonard is that they would release him when they’re having a real solid season and right in the playoff mix.

Pro Bowls are meaningless. Only all-pro matters.

He's done. They weren't playing him much. They knew it.

But how many players have the Cowboys put on the field the week after signing them?
We are known for that AND known for the longest time span between injury and surgery to fix it.

Also known for players taking a year AFTER they return to get back to 100% .

Quite the efficient machine here

Because you can't have a guy out there who doesn't know the defense very well. That's why.
Of course you can. He isn’t going to play every down and every situation week 1 and its not like he is likely to come in on Saturday to a new team
