I don't blame anyone who is doubting Gregory, his action have created this doubt. Having said that I'm glad he is seeking the help and hope he can get his life in order and of course return to the game but he has a lot to prove to a lot of people right now

I am not down on Gregory for this. ( and I don't mean in personal responsibility but in the Cowboys being without a player) The Cowboys knew what they were getting into. I hope he turns his life around for his own sake. Anything for the Cowboys is just gravy

That's such a stupid thing to say. There's no such thing as a "lost cause". You don't give up on someone. He may never have a NFL career. Fair enough. But lost cause? Goodness. When your child does something stupid is that what you say to him? Lost cause?

This is a hope for the best and prepare for the worst situation. If you've had family or friends go into rehab, you know what an iffy proposition it is. Like to see him turn himself around, get back in the good graces of his Mom but that's a 50/50 at best.

The team needs to act as if he's not in the game and if he does show up, icing on the cake but he's already proven they cannot count on him. We thought we got a steal but sometimes you really can't have your cake and eat it too.

Wish we could have taken Nick Hayden's heart and put that in Ganjory's body. Damned shame to see someone waste talent but to see someone without the talent but so much heart not make it is also disheartening.

The nflpa dropped his appeal. The media claims he's going to miss 4 games and 10 more. But from past suspensions that were at the same time that doesn't make any sense.

I know they dropped the appeal, but I have yet to see the suspicion made official. The last official announcement was still the 4 games.

Dammm!! How much weed was he smoking ? The guy is being treated like he's doing bongs every night. The stuff stays in the system for 6 months + depending on how they test him. Sad thing is that crack, cocaine, methamphetamine only stay in the system briefly and are far more serious and those abusers get away with it. I just think they make too much out of this; it isn't like he's a airline pilot, doctor, heavy equipment operator, or commercial SCUBA diving tender.

I don't want to come across also as prof ball players being a role models suggesting thye can do drugs and still succeed.

I can sympathize with anyone who has suffered the social anxiety that haunted Gregory for so long. Obviously, smoking weed afforded him relief from what ailed him better than the medications that were intended for that purpose. Hopefully, he'll be able to content himself with what the medical community is able to legally provide him in order to help him to overcome his dependency.

Many of those who have partaken of marijuana have found it much easier to part with the use of that substance. Unfortunately, Gregory doesn't conveniently fall into that fortunate category of those able to take it or leave it. I wish him good luck in overcoming his dependency and good fortune in the future with making the most of his return with the Cowboys. Hopefully, he'll accept the need to make it work for good now.

I'm not counting on anything either and plenty of kids get their act together after a couple of years in the league.

But that said, almost every kid that washes out had these kind of articles written about them that they have turned the corner, have a new attitude, etc.

Exactly. Hope for the best, but assume the worst when it comes to him. Consider anything he can provide for this team as a bonus, but never count on it.
