If Zeke is found guilty of anything then I'm on board for whatever punishment that is leveled. However, if he's found innocent or even charges dropped and the league suspends him, someone needs to finally take the league to court as it's complete BS.

I hate this entitled attitude that people think companies can only discipline if an employee is convicted of something.

The only "smoke" is what the media is blowing and the fact that the league hasn't closed the investigation.

The hints we have that are real are that Zeke has texts from the girl saying she'd ruin him if he broke up with her and the text her friend has where she asked her to lie to the police.

Other than that it is random guessing on twitter by media (and not even media) every couple of weeks during the off season.

This is how whole villages used to end up with torches and pitch-forks burning a woman they thought was a witch. People work themselves up into a frenzy when there is no tangible evidence.

I don't disagree that this is a total witch hunt... but someone is feeding Schefter info about a suspension and Goodell has unchecked power to do what he wants. I think we can all do the math and see what's coming.

Of course they aren't aware because this whole entire speculation is from Schefter, who has already been proven to be a hack. He does nothing but stir the pot. They need to fill air time before training camp. This is a dead season for NFL. Not one other person is reporting this besides Schefter. Who is pretty much the Skip Bayless/Stephen A of NFL reporting these days.

I can't even count how many reports he has did over the last few years that had no basis or substance and were proven to be false. He's a hack.

1. Is it the accused domestic violence before he was ever in the league? More likely, since the initial league investigation was prompted by these allegations. IMO, The league would be violating Zekes civil rights if they did in fact punish Zeke for this matter, due to the fact that law enforcement has found no guilt. In fact this is a snip it of what the city attorney stated.."After reviewing the totality of the evidence, the City Attorney's Office, Prosecutor Division is declining to approve criminal charges in this matter for any of the 5 alleged incidents. This is primarily due to conflicting and inconsistent information across all incidents resulting in concern regarding the sufficiency of the evidence to support the filing of criminal charges."
2. Is it weed? Why? Because he visited a pot shop? Because there's rumors of drug use in college? So what! That's pretty much a well known story/lifestyle of college kids, besides where's the failed drug test? None? Moving on.
3. Is it because of the video of pulling a girls top down? Although ill advised, no crime, no complaint, no problem. We've all been young and dumb, nothing more to talk about here.

I have never seen an 'NFL' investigation lasting this long for reasons most people have to guess. Its stupid and unprecedented, not to mention encouraging other people to make false accusations only to get paid. Simply ridiculous.

Jerry better get ready to take this to the Supreme Court. Having a diehard Giants fanatic in a position to make these types of bias decisions shouldn't be tolerated. I've always been uncomfortable with the rampant "anti-america's team" culture within the northeast nfl/media headquarters, but now it's going too far. If a suspension happens, Jerry needs to put his foot down, period. It needs to be called out for what it is. If I were Jerry, I would go all in and go after Mara, period. Call it for what it is, they guy wants a competitive advantage any way he can.

I would bring up Kicker - Josh Brown. One game, one game suspension. He should have got 6 games. How can the NFL explain this? He's done far more worse than Elliot. What is even worse is that they knew all about his problems, but yet he got an extension.

This is about the integrity of the game. Even a non-biased Cowboys fan can put the connection of what Mara is doing here. How can you not call this rigged?

After a little more digging, I read Zeke had an incident with this same girl in February of 2016 - apparently he had to call the cops and have her removed from his house. Then, obviously, there is the incident we all know about.

So I will say that Zeke is dumb for still hanging with this girl after she caused him a headache just a few months before the draft - however, both incidents, I didn't read Zeke being in the wrong either time. Didn't put his hands on her during the first incident, and there are texts showing she lied during the second.

The league still needs a valid reason for suspension - I have no idea why some on this board thinks the league can suspend someone for no reason. That is not how it works and players have protection from such things as this.

The league can initially suspend, but a player can appeal and it can be overturned despite how the league feels.
