Schottenheimer lost his game in the first half

Sincere question as you may know better than myself.

Did Shoddy hire the defensive coach on what he wanted, or did he hire the defensive coach on what the GM wanted?

The bigger issue with the cowboys isn't the players or coaches, but the GM, who just happens to be the owner of the team.
No, that was Jerry as far as I understand. Shotty didn't call Eberflus. Jerry luvs familiarity. Flus was in Dallas prior.

Maybe a unpopular opinion, but I don't think Dallas was winning this game no matter what Schotty did. DET opened up a can and Dallas never matched the energy.

Ok, true on Jerry but we must credit him for the trades made that injected hope, and talent into the team instantly. Jerry ain't going anywhere until the Grim Reaper takes him to Hades.

This. You get it. I knew it prior. Was bad timing having to face a team like them under those circumstances. I talked about it all week leading up to the game. I was harassed for stating it but was correct.

He’s had some asinine decisions of late like not kicking the field goal a few weeks back.

But tonight he was forcing the run over and over - when he had the hottest hand coming in- Pickens.

Marty ball ? More like Stupidity

Throw the ball deep early and often!!!

What’s the matter with you !!! Dive left - dump off in the flats - dive right WT_!!!!

Pathetic

And that trickled down - we looked scared.

Detroit was ready to choke it away / that Crowd was restless an unsure.

Instead of being aggressive - with a potential playoff spot RIGHT IN FRONT OF US.

We played not to lose

And we got slapped around.
Shotty didn’t call a great game. Dak didn’t play all that well though last night. That’s what got the cascade effect going.

This team is getting closer to being relevant as a SB caliber teams. If we played the Lions 5 times the result would probably be 3 wins and 2 losses or vice versa.

We don’t have a back like Detroit. That guy is LEGIT. He’s a difference maker. We need one of those.

We also need help on defense. We probably also need a legit defensive coordinator. DBs are very hit and miss. Still need another linebacker.

We need defensive help but we can’t force picks and miss. We need to add a couple more players in free agency and then religiously stick to our board.

I can't figure out why the birds are where they are, but I think you might have hit the nail on the head LOL

Who hired their OC? head coach or GM, I really have no clue...
Eagles do have a history of promoting from within. They give people a chance. They also have a history of quickly firing your *** if you don't produce. See 2023 as the example. Management identified both coordinators as key to the 2023 collapse. Out the door both went, and the Super Bowl came in 2024.

Siriani hired the OC. His buddy. Philly fans want patullos head on a stick btw

Chalk it up to getting outclassed in this venue on this night. Better team won.

Howie stepped in after 2023 and swung the axe. Must be nice to have an owner let a competent GM do his job.
True. But this year he swung and missed so far. That d they have has been abysmal as of late.

Great Points! I was thinking the same on a lot of those :flagwave:

How do we find the Thread that many fans gave their predictions for this 2025 season record right before the season started? :p:D

I disagree. His dad could never get over the hump. Give him a couple of years. His players love him. If you've ever played a down of football in your life, you'd know that is a very important thing. I would run the damn wall for my HS coach. Schotti gets that from these players. He can't help it if he has a crappy qb and dumb defensive coordinator with a subpar secondary.
I'm not ready to throw Schotty out either. Look how well they played against the Eagles and the Chiefs. Yes, there were coaching decisions I disagreed with (trying to run up the middle despite no openings), but a lot of the problems were execution. How did our special teams get to be so bad? I'm talking about letting the Lions start near midfield after every kickoff. That was wretched.

I am ready to throw Eberflus out the door, however.

On Eberflus, we agree

I don’t know why people think he is a good coach he sucks
I personally think that starting off slow has become a mindset for this team. And although the defense has been retooled somewhat, the pattern still remains. If we have this great offense, how come it can’t get off to a better start more consistently.
