How are you going to feel if Dak gets hurt and we have Moore on the field getting beat by a better qb while Romo is leading another team to the Super Bowl. How would that feel?

We aren't the Utah Cowboys and can't have multiple women or qbs. Romo DAK and the team did a great job at keeping drama out of the locker room. If both guys are healthy that's not gonna be the case. It's not fair to Romo either. Let the man finish his career on the field.

Just as much as 49ers did when they moved on from Joe Montana who actually had 4 SB under his belt. 9er fans still loved and respected the guy but you don't cling to the past you move forward. Dallas can't afford to play this loyalty BS and no GM with half a brain would do this. I hated to see Emmitt leave or Dallas letting Aikman go but it is part of the game

I am just fine with watching Romo leading another team to the Super Bowl and just watch the reaction from the move forward guys. Emmitt and Aikman weren't at the top of their games when they left. Romo is at the top of his game.

Romo said no such thing, he simply went along with the company line and said Dak deserved to keep playing to try to keep the meaningless winning streak alive. It's amazing how much people have twisted that speech. One day that speech will be like the "I have a dream" speech for Dak slobberers. Again, no actual Cowboy official or coach has said this is Dak's team or that he will be the starter going forward. That's why we have all of the insecurity.

Meaningless win streak? You an Eagles fan?

Not twisting anything. God talk about slobbering over a player, that is what you are doing over Romo. I love the guy but what has this team won with Romo as the starting QB? You act as if he is irreplaceable fact is he has been replaced and you and a few others are incapable of dealing with it. I will leave you to your own fantasy world. Again I'm completely confident who the QB is of the Cowboys if you are unsure then so be it.

What is he supposed to say? What are his teammates supposed to say?

You may be confusing doing the right and honorable thing with stating the true feelings.

No Romo talked of his true feeling of wanting to play and how he still wants to play. I'm sure he will, I have little doubt he will work with the organization to help make that happen in which both Romo and the organization benefit.

The only thing I'm confident in is that you and others will continue to nervously chant that it's Dak's team until the situation is resolved, almost as if you could make it true by force of will. Keep slobbering.

What is the downside of open competition with the loser as backup?

Salary cap relief is not significant, correct?

Playoffs 0-1
Exactly. The playoffs are a single elimination tournament. Our "brain trust" stupidly valued a winning streak over having a veteran presence at the QB position. They then went on to lose at home to a team with a veteran QB that lost 6 games in the regular season. But hey, "hot hand" I guess.

You are being a bit wishy washy here.

Do you think he does not want to play, and start for the Cowboys?

Do you think he genuinely believes that Dak is the better QB for this team or is it possible he was simply saying the right things and taking the high road for the sake of the team?

The only ones who seem to "know it" are the Dak slobberers who keep saying it over and over. Talk about insecurity.

I can't help myself sometimes but I know funny,,,and that's funny!

Sometimes it does kinda come across as a fascist algore mantra: " The Science is in and the debate is over"

Romo miffed? Pretty sure he's got a plan of attack that makes general McArthur's landing at Incheon look pedestrian

Cap is significant considering the Romo deal last until 2019. This is no a 1 year remaining situation. It also means freeing up money to add to this team.

I'm not sure Tony is better than DAK. DAK should keep getting better while Tony will decline.

I love Tony Romo and have defended him for years. I'm not gonna bash him. He's a top 10 qb in this league hands down if not top 5.

DAK keeps our window open for 10-15 years. He's already a pro bowler as a rookie. Let him continue to develop on the field without drama.

Cutting Romo June first saves about 11 mil. You know, freeing up money to sign rookies and such and allowing us to spend our restructure money elsewhere. Demarcus Ware ?

I'm not being wishy washy about anything. I can accept reality. Do I think Dak is better? I think in some areas yes, in terms of overall experience no but Dak consistently improved as the season moved on.

And you blame DAK?

Not entirely.

He definitely did not play a perfect game though.

Do you hold him completely blameless?

Not sure what your point is here though. That winning streak meant nothing when championships are the goal.

In fact it may have even set this team back if Dak (assuming it's not Romo starting) doesn't build on his previously unheard of rookie year playing behind one of the best lines in football and handing off to the league rushing leader.

Nothing is guaranteed. As an old coach you should know this.

You keep harping on "Romo even said it..."

Yet refuse to answer questions aimed directly at truth/motivation of that specific statement. Instead you obfuscate with responses like this one.

Text book wishy washyness.
