Well this one was a contact one right? Martin falling on him caused it?
First chance I had today to check on how OTAs went. Of course this is the first news I get.
This is just Sean Lee. He cannot avoid injury. Great player when healthy but that actually works against us since we need him so much in this defense and he can't be relied upon to stay in there.
Even if Martin went too hard sooner or later Lee was gonna get hurt again. Honestly might as well prepare for it from the beginning. Martin will be here a lot longer than Lee so I don't want anyone giving him grief.
Typical day for a Cowboys fan, injury and heartbreak![]()

How do you avoid injury?
Couple this with the video of Golden Tate ear holing him, it makes you wonder if part of his problem is field awareness. He might be too focused on the ball for his own good.

He was not injury prone in college.
The fact that this keeps getting repeated is astounding.
I agree. I feel that it is time to let a very good player go. Sad day that is no surprise.
How do you avoid injury?
Stop drafting loads of bargain players that missed time in college from injuries.
We can't let him go, at least fiscally. Another quality Jerry Jones extension.
We do need to mentally move on, as in prepare like he will not be a part of this team's immediate future.
The moral of this story is not to avoid drafting elite talent that has some injury history but more to not financially commit to that same talent even after they have pretty much affirmed the trait is not something that happens by chance.
I really did not even have a huge issue with the extension as opposed to others and I am appreciative it was structured with some protection in mind. Still does not make it the best thing that could have happened.
