I said this before the contract was handed out. But he's such a popular player that so many shun the idea that it was not a good idea. Is he a great player? Sure. But what good is he on the bench? I'm sick of us hinging our future on guys who can't stay on the field. Why do you think he was passed up in the 1st round? Same as Murray.

And why did we extend him before this season? Why not let the season play out. See if he can stay healthy. I agree. He's the Miles Austin of the defense. Always something and you can bet your life savings of him being injured for quite a bit of games.

Again, he doesn't suck. Not my point at all.

It was a bad fall and you can't fault him for going down like that. With the way he is on every tackle an injury was bound to happen. Once he left, no one filled the void in stepping in on those tackles.

I don't blame that contract.

Lee is worth every dime when healthy. Sucks he hasn't been healthy but the alternative is having nobody at that position. It's not like the team actually cares about the cap anyway so any money paid out is just toilet paper in the end.

The money absolutely means something. And your reasoning is exactly why we are in this position. We don't care about the cap at all which is now we are over $30mm over for next season. Horrible.

The money wasted on these injured gimps can be used for someone else. And the alternative happens every single season. So what's the point of having him here to begin with?

I agree. It sucks but it's not like this team is a beacon of salary cap responsibility so whatever money they wouldn't have given him would have likely gone somewhere else......somewhere of greater crappiness.

Sean Lee is a player who's potential is overshadowed by his inability to stay on the football field sadly... I love the kid's heart and desire.
