Then you must examine the extreme losses to the Bucs OLine, as well as the attrition on D.

During their super bowl run in 20, Bucs D was 6th. They fell to 13th last year, and have lost Whitehead, Suh, Pierre-Paul, McLendon, Minter, and Desier, all key pieces. The Bucs have the appearance of a team that is fixing to take a major step backwards. If not for the craptastic division they are in, I'm not sure they'd even make the playoffs. And if Winston can actually be taught to play, they may not.
Sure.

I can also examine the losses we've had too and still come to the same conclusion that the Bucs are a better team. We lost a true #1 receiver, a #3 receiver that played HUGE, a Pro-Bowl offensive linemen, and will be without and ALL-PRO offensive linemen.

Some posters have no issue saying we'll win the division because we have the best QB in the division, right? So why is it such a forgone conclusion that we're going to beat the Bucs for some? There is no universe where we have the better QB there.

Hmm, if I were here just to argue and cast aspersions, I'd say that means you'd probably rather lose to the Bucs as well...but I don't believe that at all. Just using the opportunity to make an irrelevant point about how some posters tend to "debate" here.
I hope we destroy the Bucs, but I don't trust the Cowboys to do that.

Of course it's a factor.

Is it not also a factor that there is no Cooper, Wilson, Collins, and Smith on our offense?
Well that’s not hat you said, hotshot.

You said “not a shred of evidence”.

Now you want to debate me on things you think I overlooked when I specifically said “some” of the evidence, which you said I have none of.

Yeah. No **** they are all factors. And evidence on which I base my opinion.

This is common sense. Dallas is simply a bit sharper and more needy week 1.
Tampa plays in a worse division with really no challengers.
They have more starters out and TB missed a couple weeks going through "family issues".

Pretty shocked Dallas isn't favored in this game by 3.

I get that. In years past, I'd be thinking the same thing. But we seem to have players changing the culture (at least on defense) and playing with chips on their shoulders, rather than pats on the back. We lost a very good WR, but one who only seemed to be very good every other game. Maybe this new crop will surprise. Either way, I don't think the Bucs are going to be as good this year, and we almost beat them last year, so I like our chances.

I don't think you overlooked anything.

I think you 100% know what we lost, but you just can't bring yourself to accept that this offense doesn't look anywhere near as good as last years on paper.

You take your "hope" and see what that gets ya when it comes to the Cowboys.

I'll stick with my "show me, don't tell me" approach.

We seem to, but I'm going to have to see it.

We've have a lot of wannabe leaders that fold into the culture that is easy living with the Cowboys.

McCarthy has an identical resume.
Sean Payton is responsible for Romos progression, Brees' progression and Jameis was on pace to have his best season ever after being trash. MM inherited Farve and Rodgers trashed him so obviously he doesn't think MM helped him. They ain't the same

I think it will be easier to beat the Bucs than the Bengals,if we can take advantage of their weak oline than we can rattle Brady.

How many of those wannabe leaders struck you as real leaders at the time? I feel real leaders lead by example, and Parsons is the leader of this defense. Although a brand new addition to the O-line, I think Peters is going to teach those guys what it takes to do the job, even if it's just attitude and technique. He may be a leader from the jump. I honestly can't speak to the leadership of the rest of the offense, because I haven't really seen it. I know they say Dak's a leader, and maybe he is, but his attitude at the end of the playoff game didn't reflect it. Hopefully he learned from the backlash.

Maybe he knows Gisele will do something to keep Tom out of the game?

Parsons right now seems to have the attitude, but it's too early to tell if it sticks or not.

The offense has ZERO leaders on it. Martin is about the only one I could see doing it, but he doesn't strike me as the that type of guy. He just seems like he quietly does his job.

So, if the Cowboys win, Payton gets the job. If they don't, we stick with Mike.

There's a lot more riding on this game than I thought!

Would think the opposite. Payton predicting the Cowboys to win sets McCarthy up for failure if we lose. Payton is essentially saying we should win this game. So Big Mike keeps the job if he wins, but if he loses, we've got Payton saying well, hey, the Cowboys should have won, maybe they need a new coach.

I was joking that calling it right means he's a coach who knows what he's talking about.

are we going to post Payton pick every week? lol I'm glad he picked the Cowboys to win but like Terry, Howie, Michael and Jimmy making picks they mean little to nothing.

Naw man. You said, essentially, that I had no reason to believe we would win. No evidence.

Just the fact that we lost by 3 at their place and now we’re at home is some evidence that we could very easily win at home.

So your statement was not based on any existing evidence. Just your feelings. Which is what guides you and doesn’t let you root for your own team. But, of course, that’s what makes you such a great analyst.
