2016 wasn't special since two years earlier a back had a similar season and Darren freakin' McFadden had a 1,000 yard season behind that O-Line.
Here are the five NFL rookies who had the most rushing yards in their first year in NFL history:
  1. Eric Dickerson: 1,808 Rushing Yards. Maniac Masturbator. ...
  2. George Rogers: 1,674 Rushing Yards. Duke Wilson 14. ...
  3. Ezekiel Elliot: 1,631 Rushing Yards. Mike & Mike. ...
  4. Alfred Morris: 1,613 Rushing Yards. ...
  5. Ottis Anderson: 1,605 Rushing Yards.

Only 2 guys have had more rushing yards than Zeke of ALL TIME lol....it wasn't special. Ok.

McFadden had 1089 rushing yards for 3 touchdowns.
Ezekiel Elliott had 1631 rushing yards with 15 Touchdowns.

McFadden was a VET....ZEKE WAS A ROOKIE.

I mean this honestly not even trying to be funny or insult you but do you get a check once a month?

He was NFL rushing champion his 3rd year.

Man..what is wrong with some people sheesh!
He was the "champ' because he had 40+ more rushes than the guy behind him (Barkley). He also only had 6 TDs on the ground that year which had him tied for 20th with 4 other RBs. His longest run in 2018 was 31 yeards, which was 36th in the league.

2018 was the season where people who actually paid attention noticed he never had that second level speed. Murray used to get criticized for "leaving meat on the bone", it was muhc MUCH worse for Zeke. Dude bulked his way out of being elite.

Oh I know. I just wanted to see if he'd admit it. I mean it's clear he's an Eagles fan. You deal with enough of them you start to be able to point them out. People get upset when I call people on this site Eagles fans but there are certain posters who possess the traits of Eagles fans who come on this site pretending to be Cowboy fans to rile this place up.
Agree. This has been my long suspicion. They’re relatively easy to spot. Geez, just watch some of the guys on the networks. Haters can be spotted a mile away. Never have anything positive to say about the team.

Just saw the sounds from the sidelines yt video. Seeing him in another uniform sux, I didn't like it almost as much as I didn't like seeing Emmitt and Allen in different uniforms. Elliot like Emmitt left it all on the field for this team. Too bad Elliot didn't have Emmitt work ethic in the offseason. If only he had put in the extra work, he'd probably still be a cowboy.
It looked like Belichick has been reading my posts. I've always said Zeke needs to get a dam haircut, shave the beard down and lose some weight. I liked Zeke until he got paid.

Blame Jerry.

It's obvious I am/WAS!/ a big fan...still am because he's former buckeye AND former cowboy.

But I woulda sat him...at least until we started losing like we did emmitt. HONOR YOUR CONTRACT ZEKE!

Oh for sure. You peep it but for those that don't just be observant. Pay attention who's around when we lose. Pay attention to who's around when we win. Notice that some people only show up when we lose...and then when we win and they do show up there posts are short and they do whatever they can to discredit the wins.

Yeah, because Rogers and Morris are real NFL legends. Your own list shows how it's not really that special of a stat.

Elliott came in behind the decades best offensive line, and it wasn't even remotely close. Again, we had a 1,8000 yard rusher, a scrub like McFadden getting 1,000 yards, and Zeke who had less yards than the back two years before him. Hardly a special season when 4 years earlier a journeyman back nearly equaled Zeke's total behind a much more inferior offensive line.

There was not a single thing that Zeke did in his career that was special. He had a season where he was elite and another season in his prime cut short before he swiftly declined after that. Nature of the position.

I think it was just proven when I asked him if he liked ANY Cowboy.

He chose to not answer.

Again...zeke was rookie and with a rookie QB nobody feared.

Even with a good o-line you can;t just waltz around NFL defenses nonchalant.

Hater alert BIG TIME!

What? Get a haircut? Shave the beard? You think Bellichick told him to do that?

He did this while as a free agent lol. Y'all say anything.

Because there is a major drop off after Dorsett and Smith. That says absolutely nothing. This is like saying Mark Sanchez is the second best QB in New York Jets history

....wow what a feat.
LOL...you are a funny guy.

Who needs enemies with fans like you sheesh!

"Well BY GOD Imma correct these yahoos who appreciated Zeke....IDIOTS!"

You just said he didn't do a thing special in his career and the next sentence said the had a season where he was elite. Ok. I can't.

I don't understand it. ?I don't get why in his head 1089 yards is equivalent to 1600.....
McFadden had 239 carries while averaging 4.6 YPC. Zeke had nearly 100 more carries for a 5.1 YPC average. Yes, Zeke had a better season than McFadden...but McFadden was a scrub at that point and the offensive like STILL made McFadden look good.

The point is, Zeke benefited a lot, like Murray, being behind THE best offensive lines of the 2010s. Can you give me a list of RBs that came into the league with that type of offensive line talent? It matters.

NOTHING about Zeke's play was special. He was a great all-around back for a minute, but nothing was transcendent.

Dak had one of his best seasons his rookie year. The idea that defenses weren't accounting for his play, which was efficient, is absolutely absurd. This is a passing league first and foremost, they were absolutely factoring in Prescott's play.

And how exactly did McFadden average 4.6 YPC the season before? Can you even remember who our QBs were in 2015? We had more than one for a reason....

You do know though that McFadden was so good that we won 4 games that allowed us to draft Zeke to begin with? Then with Zeke we went on to win 13 or 14 games right?

Eagles had one of the best offensive lines of all time last year and go compare what Miles Sanders did to a rookie Zeke. You don't discredit guys because of the talent they play with. You're hyping up Emmitt but Emmitt too had a great offensive line. Let me guess he wasn't worth a damn either?

Media was alerted he was signed on the 16th. His agent was most likely already working on the signing on the 14th, this is also after Zeke spent a lot of time with Bill and Mac Jones a couple weeks earlier.
