Not to state the obvious but the only way Dak doesn’t get paid is if he regresses markedly from last year which leaves Dallas in a damn awkward position about what they actually have as a QB which ales franchising or signing him next year a torturous decision. I think it’s doubtful that happens though because he is a damn good QB. It’s more likely that he produces like that again and at that point Dallas‘ front office is absolutely going to know what they have and will pay whatever the market determines should be paid to keep him. He’s our QB for the next few years minimally.

Lol all I’m going to say is if he drops another season like last year but let’s say our defense never gels and we have to win shootouts week to week and manage a 7 or 8 win season and miss the playoffs, thinking the front office should let a quarterback that productive walk and they actually do would have every front office in the league calling the Dallas front office a breeding ground for morons. Seriously, this production is not normal. I don’t care who he has around him. He’s gotten measurably better almost every year and last year he put up a ridiculous season. Yeah, I want to see him produce in big games more consistently but for God’s sake you’re going to cut him because you don’t think he never will at his age and arc of improvement?

Sounds utterly insane to me...

It was Atlanta, with it's dreadful secondary. If he wins the shoot out against Wilson next week then we have something.

ok but Seattle’s secondary has been lit up in two straight games too. Russell Wilson has nothing to do with that. Why wouldn’t you just chalk up a monster performance by Dak against Seattle to Seattle having a ****** secondary?

It seems to me an ad hoc excuse can always be found if you want to find one, win or lose.

QBR measures efficiency not necessarily high levels of production. To have a QBR that high and throw the ball as much as he does is what’s impressive.

Yes his QBR has consistently been near the top of the league and that is the one I watch far more closely than passing numbers. But the initial question was about passing numbers not QBR. That said.. absolutely if his QBR hovers around top 5 in the league again this year you re-sign him because then it's clear that HE is doing his part to help this team win on the field. Right now he's number 10. IMHO that isn't good enough but I also think he will finish higher as some of the other guys start having to deal with the injuries on the o-line and such that Dak is. I mean right now he's behind Josh Allen, Baker Mayfield, Ryan Tannehill, Jimmy Garopplo and Kyler Murray. I expect him to pass all of those guys before season's end.

It's about playing against a poor secondary.

You have the very opinion that's being called out, it's no good padding stats and beating up on poor defenses and teams. Dak needs to prove it against the kind of teams he'll face in the play-offs.

but you said if he wins the shootout next week with Wilson, then we will “have something”.

why would we have something since their secondary has played so poorly in two games IF the standard you’re measuring Dak with is his production levels compared to his strength of competition?

I’m just trying to understand the actual standard you’re using to critique Dak with and what it’s based on.

The Chiefs don't win a SB last year with Dak at QB. The Packers don't win with Dak at QB when Rodgers won. The Colts don't win with Dak at QB when they won. Dak Prescott is not good enough to carry a team to a SB. Rodgers, Mahomes, Manning, Brady, Drew Brees...They are. Sorry you don't agree with that. Dak is not an elite QB. You get sensative about it for some reason and accuse me of hating Dak. That's the problem with the world now days. If I disagree with one little thing you "quit reading" and don't acknowledge anything. Our argument isn't that big of a deal. I think Dak is a top 15 QB you think he is the best. Who cares. That's your opinion and I have mine.
First off I never said he was the best. Second, you are just speculating if Dak wins a superbowl or not with another team.

Also you still don't get it. You orginal comment, which started this entire thing is still wrong. Why won't you answer the question? You made an outlandish claim and can't back it up so you are running around the bush like a scared little dog.

You said Dak can't win a Superbowl by himself like other greats........ name me a QB that won by himself, name one of those greats you are talking about. If you can't then say you can't and you was wrong, say you made a wrong comment. Anything else you say in reply will go on ignore

That’s all I can think of when you have bad things to say about him last game......
I have been saying it. It can't be because of his play on the field. It could also be why they want Dalton over Dak........ speaking of Dalton his one pass against Atlanta wasn't even close to the receiver, was way too high...... that's the eye test bs

I thought that whole exchange was perfect and a representation of what we get with Dak and what we get with Dalton. Dalton comes in with a pass too high.......Dak goes in for a concussion protocol........comes back and first play scores a touchdown lol. That's where we at. But people gonna ask for Dalton? Yuck.

Did Dalton hand it off as well? I think he had 2 plays but it's harder to run on the goal line because Dalton isn't a threat to run

Ravens have playmakers on both sides of the football. I don't know where this notion comes from that they don't have any talent. Offensively they were stacked later and even more stacked this year.

I said 2001 Ravens. Where a defense could carry a Dak like QB to a SB.

No QB wins by themselves. Dak will never win getting paid highest in the league. Done arguing that's my view spin it anyway you want. Thanks

I don't know, maybe they should have benched Dak in the 2nd half and put Dalton out there.....I'm pretty sure the score wouldn't have been as close.....
